This is what our esteemed politicians get when they are finally found guilty by the court. When they actually see jail - they remember all their illnesses and happily skip jail and pack off to a nice cushy A/c hospital and get good treatment and comfy quarters AND sYMPATHY for FREE.

Sanchi first deserves severe punishment for her crimes and later as part of her therapy - needs to write long letters seeking forgiveness from those she has brutalised.

And for life - she needs to be barred from being close (same city is too close) to those she has harmed.

That's simply not practical hooked. Though the CVs made a joke keeping Jagdish in jail for such a meaningless drama, but at the same time Sanchi could never be punished jail.

But yes, she would face humiliation by Udaipur public.

May be it's time her parents would send her to a distant place to save her lost honour.

She is not suffering from.any disorders, it is just her nature

I know its her nature. However I strongly believe that her aggression needs some direction and believe me she would do well if she finds a positive goal in her life. Her parents are so far unable to guide her properly.

i respectfully disagree..am a psychiatry resident in final year, and believe me, i know what am talking about.. her character seems to be having a personality disorder, with really indulgent parenting.. therapy for these cases, is long and tedious, not only for her, coz she would never accept her faults, but for her family as well..its what we call "dialectic behaviour therapy", which aims at dealing with the core issues of insecurity..

but at the same time, her behaviour cannot and shud not be condoned by calling it a disorder.. her judgement is intact, and she is well aware of what she does and the consequences..she just does not care about them..if she commits a crime, she shud be punished for it..

Nice to know you are a student of psychiatry. Yes she has no disorder; she is just evil. But why? Nobody is a criminal by birth and we got bigger criminals in this country.

I would call DS a criminal torturing the child Anandi and arranging remarriage of Jagdish even after Anandi risked her life for him. If she could change then why can not Sanchi? Why she can not be accepted by the society?

lets look at it from a paraphilosophical point of view..every person has a good and bad side..there are people whose bad side overpowers the good..deeds which are not accepted by the society as a whole shud be punished and good shud be rewarded..it dsnt happen in general, and a lot of people go scotfree..DS in her worst time was widely hated by us, but she HAD a good aspect to her, which made her a respected woman in jaitsar..and yes, i agree her crimes included a huge list which all of us older viewers of BV remember well..her "redemption" happened after her grandson, who was a biggest pride let her down..her punishment was of a spiritual kind, which was befitting a rural elderly matriarch like her..
for a urban, young, pampered brat like sanchi, what wud be a fitting punishment?? a girl who is yet to show even a single moment of "goodness"?? loss of her ego? insults by people she considers inferior? monetary or legal fines? i think all of the above.. she has to realise tht wen u do the crime, u do the time..all her growing years, she has seen her mother and her brother covering her mistakes and mollycoddling her..but this time, it has gone beyond a mere knuckle rap..she has actually taken the laws of the land as a means to fulfil her selfish whims..and has to know tht her collector brother or indulgent mother cannot protect her from it this time..
