Saiyaara Male lead is overrated!!!
PART 13
Geet warily left KC towards KM. On her way home she possibly pushed her mind off the limits wondering who the girl with Maan was and what were they doing spending hours in Maan's cabin. The big issue bothering her was Maan's coldness towards her. She was never used to his coldness, but now to it seemed like it was tormenting her in an unimaginable way. As the car approached KM, the driver called out to her thrice seeking her attention breaking her thoughts. Still lost in her own thoughts, she got off the car slowly entering into the mansion. As she entered she saw Yash waiting for her, in a conversation with Dadimaa.
Hey Doll.! How are you.?? Yash asked with a wide grin as Geet neared the two. Dadimaa welcomed her with a smile.
I am fine Yash, just tired. How are you.? She asked as she settled in the empty seat.
Just bored without you as usual. You look very tired Doll. Take proper rest. He commented as she looked gloomy and all lost.
Geet bte, you both sit and talk, I'll send some fresh coffee for you. Enjoy bte. Dadi said smiling caressing her face.
Thank you Dadimaa. Geet smiled at her as she left Geet and Yash alone to catch up. Once Dadimaa was out of sight, Yash took her place right next to Geet putting an arm around her shoulder.
How's work doll.? Doesn't look like Maan is showing any mercy on you all seeing the way you look. He chided as he noticed the worry lines on her forehead. Maan's name pushed her thoughts back to the same place she was trying to avoid, but was failing miserably. Knowing Yash can read her clearly, she masked her face before he would sense her worries.
Work is fine. Just hectic and Maan is busy with something important, so since I am working under him I have to look after everything. Otherwise life is fine.! How is your assignment coming along.? She lied proficiently and desperately tried to change the topic before Yash caught her .
Hmm.! It means my doll has finally learnt to work hard. At last. He teased her.
Funny.! Tell me about your work. When are you going back.?
Well my assignment is almost done, so I might probably leave in a few days. Anyhow mum is missing me like hell. God help me doll. If you would have been there you would have convinced her. Now I am alone into hell. He whined.
Convince her for what.?? Geet asked confused. He looked at her shocked as she posed the question. Next second he was at her feet on his knees.
Doll you are going to kill me for this. I can't believe I can be such an idiot and forgot to tell you. Damn it! He cursed himself, confusing Geet more.
Wait. What are you on about Yash. Will you stop with these riddles and tell me clearly.?
Ummm.. Doll.! Actually, I got... I... He hesitated, scared for her reaction. She frowned seeing him fumbling for words.
U got what.? She asked raising her eye brows.
I got my acceptance from New York. He said it one ago. As the words finally were out he looked up to see Geet's plain face. He was in trouble.
When.? Was all she asked the big question, the one he was trying to avoid.
Um..5 days ago. He said backing away, as he could see her expression changing. Before he could react, a pillow hit his face making him fall to the ground. Springing off the ground, he chased for his life as she followed him fuming.
You moron, you jerk , you donkey, you monkey.! You everything, you... Didn't... Tell... Me.. You forgot.! You.. She cursed him while chasing him around the room. Her tears gave up, which she held back all along. Bursting into tears, she thumped herself on the sofa crying. Seeing her in tears Yash felt terribly guilty and rushed to her side.
Geet, I am sorry yaar.! I honestly forgot, do u think I'll hide this from you.? You know it you are always the first to know about everything in my life. Not even mom, only you. You're my only best friend doll, please.! You every well know I share all my secrets with you. Please doll forgive your donkey. Please.! He pleaded pulling her into a hug. The hug was all she needed to pour out all her pain, the unknown pain which had no reason to engulf her. The pain of Maan's ignorance , his coldness towards her, his spending hours with the girl without sparing a glance at her. She held on to Yash sobbing her heart out, confusing him about what was in her heart.
Doll, what's wrong. ? Are you crying because I am going or is it something else.? He demanded. She composed herself as it's exactly what she feared. Wiping her tears, she decided to blame it all on him, even though his leaving was just the trigger whereas her actual pain was something else.
I hate you donkey.! She mumbled which made him laugh.
Now I see my doll is back, I was scared I might have lost her. I know you are angry but I know this too that you can't do that. He teased her as she punched him on his back.
I'll miss you.! He cribbed to which she laughed.
But I won't.! Finally I'll get rid of you.! She teased him knowing how much it will piss him off, but to her surprise the opposite happened.
Me too, finally after so many years. He gave it back to her.
Really .? Let's see donkey. They both laughed out loud.
Geet, let's go out somewhere for dinner.? Anyhow I won't be seeing you much now given you are so busy. He suggested, making her happier for the moment. Yash was the only one who could get her thoughts off Maan and his coldness.
Um.. Okay.! I'll have to ask Dadimaa just in case it gets late but for that you will have to leave me.! She said pulling out of the hug.
Okay.! I'll wait while you come back. He said. As she turned around to leave, she saw Maan standing at the door of the mansion with a furious expression. Maan who was coming back after a stressful day, entered the mansion to witness the sight that managed to raise his already boiling temper by ten folds. His mishty was in someone else's arms. He stood there watching her, as she cried clinging to Yash, making him feel worthless. Lost in his miseries, he didn't notice Geet staring at him. When he did, he decided to walk off not wanting to lose his temper on her, or to give her any hint of his feelings, the true picture of his crushed heart. Noticing her looking at him, wordlessly he walked into the mansion. Geet who was worried by his silence all day long expected him to talk now. Just as he was near her, she stepped forward to talk to him.
Maan, what's... She began to ask him but to her utter shock and disappointment he walked off from her, not even sparing a glance in her direction. She could hear her sobs that were on the verge of erupting out. Knowing she wouldn't be able to gold herself longer and not wanting to breakdown in front of Yash or Maan she decided to just leave the place.
Yash, I am tired. We'll go some other day, not today. She said with her voice breaking as the tears were already blurring her vision.
But doll, weren't you fine just a few minutes ago.? What happened now.! He demanded worried.
Please Yash, try to understand, I am really tired. We'll go some other time. I'll see you later. She spoke rudely and walked off from the place leaving a stunned Yash and Maan behind who was instructing the servant about his dinner when he heard her. He watched her as she climbed the stairs hastily and slammed the door of her room shut once she was inside, louder than necessary. Maan turned to Yash who was equally shocked.
Moody Geet. No one knows what's running in her mind at a given point of time. Now that she cancelled on my plan, I guess I'll go too. See you later Maan. Yash greeted Maan and left the mansion avoiding the awkwardness, totally confused by her sudden refusal and change in behaviour, but since he knew her all along, it wasn't anything new for him. Maan who was clueless stood there, wondering if his behavior was the cause of her sudden change. He thoughtfully climbed up the stairs, debating on whether or not he should ask her. He paused at her door for a minute, his hand almost knocking on the door when he stopped himself reasoning with himself again. This wasn't the right time .! He needed to wait. Brushing off his thoughts he went to his room quietly, guilty for hurting her unknowingly while on the other hand Geet lay in her room shedding tears over his coldness and fighting her feelings , which seemed to betray her repeatedly.
