I never said I'm quitting, I said I'm taking a break for a few weeks frm the EDT so that it can proceed peacefully..lets move on frm here...

@CR, I may be not be the sole reason behind it but i'm one of them..bec. I know myself well..either I keep quiet or I'm blunt ..I cannot be diplomatic 😆

Charu - thanks for you comments and same from me too .i love to see your review on the first page and it has become a habit for long now. So don't deprive us that,

I am not regular reviewer here , I only write when I am too happy with the episode or when I very unhappy with the episode ,So my thoughts will always reflect that mood.i will continue to do so. My reason for criticism is same as you trps and longevity of the show and my way of providing feedback is different , I believe in dissing what I find not working. My posts in MF my immediate reaction to wu as I don't watch till much later and I enjoy a different set of arguments there mostly tit for tat.

I am happy to see your post in main forum but you won't get the same type of analysis you get in EDT. So please reconsider.

@Leela - thanks so much for taking it upon youself to put out thoughts on behalf of me and others who are currently not liking the track ,in the process , you may have made your self a target . I really appreciate you for this and for all of us . I love you perspective and trp related input ,please keep it coming.

This serial is open to interpretation , nothing is shown in an explicit way ,so our interpretations are bound to be different , if every opinion is same then this will become MB appreciation thread rather than episode discussion thread.

@ Charu/ Leela - you guys have invested so much time and energy in making this thread what is it is , please continue you do so. Please don't let disagreements as a reason to keep away from it.

Thanks for understanding.

May be I am looking at this from the point of view of a working woman. Those who are working amongst you, please honestly tell how many of you are allowed to take your personal baggage to office and whose colleagues will entertain her/him if something like this is done.

- since you asked and I am going to forewarn it is going to be negative😆

This entire track is indigestible to me for precisely same reason ,when I look at it from working professional POV . If my career is in shambles , how can my spouse rescue it , he cannot , I will have to rescue it and I can look for my spouse to provide emotional support and encouragement to me when I am in the process. That is where all this clunk begins,I find it demeaning to my worth if my husband can rescue it for me.

This may be applicable for business families or film industry but the presentation was far from convincing.

Second - when a person has no interest and ambition to work towards a profession , he or she will never succeed in it, but in this serial, they are going to show that the person is going to surpass all the measures of success irrespective of having absolutely no interest.

Third -Asking a housewife to prove herself in profession or demand it from her is equally regressive like asking a working ambitious woman to leave career and sit at home.

Fourth - Madhu to fully come put of the housewife mould , she needs to develop interest in the profession and acting , I will gladly applaud her than and will be very happy , even then all of this issues which they are currently facing can be shown .

Fifth - Mehul is a bad boss - he did not look at skills while recruiting , he just saw the Beauty and a good face does not ensure a great performance , first take ok are unbelievable ,they need to show struggle, because he opted for a good face and a non actor , he needs to be patient in teaching her ropes.

In reality if it still does not work you need to give pink slip and recruit some one else.

The same is the reason I detest cvs double standards here when they show dipali or simmy in negative light because they have ambition which is necessary for every profession and that is why I bring them in my reviews.

Determinedly ignoring the clunk to reach this position in the serial..here's a real story of Superstar facing bankruptcy:

posting a link to the story of Amitabh Bachchan's company...ABCL for those interested:

Thanks for the link, Soundarya.😊 And he isn't even the only one to have faced financial disaster and come back in strength.
Never was their image useless in helping them get past it.
That is the nonsense they have presented here.

If RK was anyway to be shown behaving uncharacteristically and forcing Madhu forward despite knowing that she dislikes the profession, then it would have been endurable if he had done it to showcase her talent.
Even in Padmini-Shamsher's case, he had gone against individual stated wishes because he was sure he was right about what would actually be best for them.
Instead, in trying to push Madhu as mahaan, the CVs have created a situation where RK is pushing Madhu for his own supposed benefit.
It makes it worse that the supposed benefit to RK is a mirage which has never been particularly believable at any point.

It would have been better if - at the first sign of her actual reluctance to enact - he had insisted on finding another heroine or just scrapping film plans for the time being.
His accepting her willingness to enter a profession he knows she doesn't want, and his then forcing her to accept showbiz discomfitures for the sake of the film is beyond unbelievable.

He could doctor her injured feet, a gesture good enough for one romantic scene.
It would have been less of a transitory appearance sop if he had sacrificed the film for her feelings. That would have been an actually great gesture of love.

If they had to show RK forcing Madhu to become a heroine against her wishes, it should have been for her benefit, not for his own intended benefit.

The stardom track has a limited niche interested (and yes, I'm one of them. If I weren't, I'd be dancing with joy at their packaging it in a way that - even without Pabho - will have assurance of the same mediocre TRPs as previous tracks).
MEIEJ is a high-budget serial. Anything less than excellent TRP is monetarily not worthwhile.
And no career track has ever got excellent TRP, except as backdrop for romance. The romance and both leads in forefront, everything else - including career - as background.
That was how they showed RK's stardom, never letting focus deviate from the couple and home tracks.
And that is where they are blundering this time.
Madhu's reason for becoming heroine is not important; the mass-audience sympathy will last only until she is shown benefitting from her devoted-wife step of becoming heroine.
Not even post-unwedding sympathy for her from majority-audience had lasted beyond her smiling with absolute genuine innocence at another man. That was a far larger amount of sympathy for her and disapprobation for RK than anything else may ever generate, and it dissipated with staggering swiftness. That was reflected in the steadiness of TRP as passive support when RK violently took her home and kept her there. Though much of the online audience erupted, TRP did not reflect the sentiment.
MEIEJ's two main tracks were always consistently the couple's romance and stardom.
The entire romance track - until the unwedding - managed excellent TRP even at the lowest points, despite online audience chafing at 'boring' or lack of 'different'.
That was *without* beguiling or misleading information from CVs or channel.
After unwedding, that beguiling started. Perhaps it became necessary.
For MEIEJ, the majority-audience comes in for the couple like it's Pied Piper's tune, everytime the couple is promoted. Staying or leaving after that depends on the tracks.
Radha was a good support but never became equally important.
And the CVs should have kept that in mind, instead of trying to shove Pabho down our throats now. Rat-biting? That too, while Bappa is brought for Ganeshotsav and remains ignored until visarjan? They ignored the pleasing ways of showcasing piety simply to present even devotion in a depressingly hurtful light.

If they want great TRP for stardom track, they don't need Pabho even a little.
They just need the couple - both of them - strong, rather than one butchered with clunk into being a shadow of his integral sense and capability, simply to create a halo of effort and sacrifice for the other.
They need RK smart enough to show Mehul and the producers their place, smash the unbelievable majbooris by hook or crook, and then insist on Madhu continuing as heroine because she has the potential and he wants her to shine.
Show Madhu fiery - rather than emotionally blackmailed by everyone including her husband to become heroine for the sake of her husband's career, simply so that majority-audience can then repeat its previous record of turning against her when her being proactive finally ends up hurting RK, even unintentionally.
Pabho on the homefront and majboor RK on the professional front are equally excruciating viewing for those who have had a surfeit of depression and helplessness in MEIEJ for seven months. Removing one while maintaining the other may please online audience but be unenthusing for the majority-audience who love DVD only as this extremely popular couple and don't care a whit for the glamour career track for the female lead any more than they had for the male lead's. If the CVs would be so good as to show that majority-audience the couple without butchering half and turning the romance into a sop, we may get the TRP we should for the stardom track showcasing the couple.
The current presentation and the hope of having crores of people get lured in excellent-TRP numbers for the seventh month of varied depressions and majbooris for a track that isn't their primary preference seems somewhat stretching even on reserves of optimism.

Charu, can I add my request to you to NOT stop posting on EDT? For me personally, even on off-days, what keeps me going is knowing that you will be there on EDT, with your review, and perspective in your own inimitable style. It completely enhances my own perspective on the episode. I don't want you to take even a brief sabbatical. I expect so see you today on page 1 in episode 410 discussion, bright eyed and bushy tailed... its an order 😃.

PS: EDT peaceful without you? It's going to be dead without you.

RM's scenes

By the way I tried to cut the unpleasant characters presence although they were there all the time during shooting, you will at least have the minimum of Pabbo and maximum of Rishbala😉
