The way things are going at Bo..off-late do you think its right to release the film is mid weeks just for good Opening(which is not happening as expected as of now) on its First day... or its good to go back to the default method to release it on friday... as other films... likes of besharam- boss released in Mid-week but the collection was not great as expected...and for that sat-sun Business taking beating... or its just nothing else but Content... That matters..

Your thoughtS ... please..

It depends on the timing too. Like during Diwali or Christmas if they have a mid-week release its fine as usually schools and colleges are closed during that time and people are in a festive mood and want to watch movies. But Boss and Besharam released just before Diwali when its usually exam time. So now it seems like a bad idea. Esp for Boss. If there are two holidays close together then the impact is lesser as we saw for ETT which got the benefit of Eid as well as Independence Day.

Unless you are a khan, don't even dream of releasing a film mid week.
the fan base has to be much bigger ..one holiday is not enough..There should be enough fans to watch over 5 days.

Three day weekend is safer for the smaller stars.

Krrish 3 got saved..had it released on monday..and looking at the content from the promos..That would have been a big gamble.

Hmmn... Your Right. besharam anyway managed a good opening... in boss case its backfired.. the Main problem is wed release cause if the Content is not god then for bad puplic reaction it gets dumped in its very first weakend Itself ex boss, besharam... and about two holidays i also agree ETT got two.. and CE got three holidays(though one was Rakhi).. So see how things go In future...

5day weekend is a waste!!! 4day weekend i think is the most fruitful 1
i love the chennai express weekend friday national holiday followed by sat sun
if the holiday falls in friday its best thing 4 a film!!! rather than opening on wednesday and dropping on thurs friday!!!

besharam had little buzz and poor wom so it would have suffered any way!!! on the other hand boss had different story its akshay overdose that has let the film down!! orelse such masala film works big time!!!

releasing a movie mid week is not good

coming to khan thing if they also release film liek boss beshram in mid week it will be same result just 5-6 cr more it will earn
the main factor is WOM which no fan following no khan no one can affect
