Why is Anandi so repressed

Why is Anandi so much suppressed and unable to express her feelings on what is correct and wrong. She could have told that she will only support what is correct when Ira questioned her.

I surprised to see her walk alone in court premises today, And BH people easily understood what going through her.

Jagiya is shown standing on his point and brave to answer any questions asked to him, so what makes Anandi so much suppressed and unable to voice out what happened and tell Saanchi truth to every one.

Shiv is behaviour towards Anandi is like aloof. Its shown clearly that he knows the truth but still dont want to support her becoz he wants to fulfil his family wishes.

As a partner of Anandi Shiv attitude looks very weird these days. When Anandi requested to settle matter outside of court no one supported her, not even Shiv.

I see Shiv is completely gone insane becoz of Saanchi.

the scene where anandi came after shekhars looked very disgusting to me...so repressive like anandi is their naukrani...even shiv could not wait for anandi...even when singhs used to treat their daughter in-laws like naukars they didn't used to bhevae like this in public at least 😭

What was worse was Shiv's sanskaar. He didn't even have the decency to put his hands together and greet DS. The man has no excuses left. The tokenism of following the path of truth dialogue was just that tokenism. He doesn't even give a damn about following through with respectable or courteous behavior. At least wait for the trial to be over before showing attitude. If he had doubts and wanted truth to be shown then at least have the foresight of preventing yourself from falling flat on your face.

Absolutely. Aanandi is completely disappointing these days. There isno need to be sooo extraordinary emotional. There is something called rationalism. She is centy for each and every small small thing.

Or probably cv believes more aanadi will cry more trip will increase..
I really loved gangs today. She knew DS and Sumi won't entertain her. So she did not created those stupid scene of touching feet in public place. Even in the court room its sumi who created drama..

I liked gangs she has always taken bold steps. Leaving her nasty husband and her nasty in laws. Coming to BH. Living independent at Mangalore. Studying in odd environment. Learning English to communicate at south India. Serving people. Professionally qualified and now married...

What aanandi has done other then submitting. Post marriage she is a naukrani . it were only Singh's who given her bright future . on the name of family responsibility she have converted herself into a house maid free of cost. Not living a life cater to the wife of an collector at all. No social circle. No improvements. Its her own choice. People like her are called stupid in professional world. I want she should come out this stupid ness. She have a strong person a but no body care if you are not ready to use it.

She is waiting to hear the viewer's advice as to what she should do as she seems to have sold her own brain.

I think she will became strong again only after shiv ditch her.

How come people don't call Ganga repressed when she tolerates worst insult of her son and her own character assasination by Sumitra all the time?

Anyway, this is result of conditioning and circumstances. Ira is making it an issue of sasural and maika. Shiv was harsh on her earlier and has now quit talking to her. So she is worried about consequences on both families and relationships.

Anandi tolerates anything - whether people rally around her or they leave her alone. She tolerated it in Singhs' house. She is tolerating it in Shekhars' house now.

Ganga can easily tell truth or choose a side because her husband supports her, she has to live with him, she has to save him. She even has support of all Singhs except Sumitra and to some extent DS.

Anandi knows the truth, but has support of none from those who she has to live with, except Choti Ma.
So she cries or bears things silently.

Shekhars have their own version of "truth". If Anandi says she will only support truth then they will counter question her, "So what is truth according to you eh?"

They are not ready to listen to her, not ready to face the reality of their daughter and upbringing then what can Anandi do?

She trudges along silently.

Eventually she will tell facts in court despite intense pressure she faces.

I don't know why people want her to protest Shekhars' behaviour to her and her maika. I mean, someone like Gauri was called mean even if she asked her husband to complete his studies or get a job and be practical in life. She was accused of hurting his ego even when she gave sane advice.
Whereas it is expected of Anandi to show mirror to Shiv and Shekhars!

If she never spoke against Jagya except for the time he demanded property share and "batwara" from Singhs then how can we expect she'll protest Shekhars' behaviour? What they are doing to her now is nothing compared to what she had faced at Singhs' house.

Hence she is practising tolerance.

Shiv hasn't left her, thrown her or abused her or had affairs or something. This is not the time to nag or fight over things.

Anandi makes people realise for themselves that they were wrong.

The people who she had given bhaashans were those who suffered abuse. Shiv is not like Chanda or Phooli's husbands or a Ratan Singh who deserves stringent action from Anandi.

Even when she was Sarpanch, harsh tone or stringent action used to be her last means. Mostly she would try polite persuasion.

Though I think she needs to be tactful in family matters as she was in Sarpanch days. Nowadays mostly meek and polite but not tactful. In Sarpanch days she was both polite and tactful.

Still Sarpanch has some kind of authority whereas a bahu has none. Serials treats bahus as rags. 🤢 Maybe most of real life too... 😡

What is she supposed to do if her family members refuse to listen to her and accept the reality and continue to believe in an illusion which they perceive to be as truth?

First thing - we should not have double standards - either relating to conduct of a character with different set of people or relating to conduct of different characters in similar situations. If Anandi seems suppressed in Shakher family - she was the same in Singh family also. If she was doing something right when she was with Singhs how doing same thing when she is with Shakhers is wrong? If Anandi is wrong in taking all the crap from her MIL silently, how can Ganga be right doing exactly the same thing? If Anandi's hiding the truth of Sanchi is wrong, why her hiding the truth of Jagya becomes right? As regards walking her alone in court premises - it can be explained in a lot of ways. One way is Shakhers including Shiv is not with her - they do not take her along. Other way is she is not with anyone in this drama - neither Singhs nor Shakhers - she knows where exactly Sanchi is wrong and also where Jagya is wrong.
