gulzar's film parichay

the situation of ankita and her younger siblings reminds me strongly of 'parichay', the film made by gulzar. It had jaya bhaduri as a stubborn and self-respecting eldest sister with four younger siblings. ekta kapoor's father jeetendra played jaya's love interest.
i have a hunch that soham and gauri (if they are ankita's parents) might be dead. archana / manav will get to know about it. they will take ankita and her siblings away with them. ankita will resent her grandparents and give them a tough time. this is my gut feeling, based on the similarities with the film parichay.

OK. Soham is alive; he is an alcoholic and dysfunctional father. We don't know where Gauri is. The rest of this track is still going the Parichay way. Like Jeetendra in the film, the serial has a tutor for the younger siblings and he is clearly attracted to the eldest sister. Now that Arjun has spotted Ankita, and tried to tell Purvi, it's a matter of time before Archana-Manav learn about the existence of five more grandkids in Mumbai. It's clear that the five kids resent their grandparents, because of the way their father treats them. Sparks are going to fly if these grandkids and the grandparents start staying together. In the movie, Jeetendra acted as the bridge between the kids and their grandpa. Something similar might happen in the serial.
