SUSHANT TOO BUSY FOR GATTU
The actor has opted out of his mentor Abhishek Kapoor's next
Sushant Singh Rajput is a busy man these days and he made the fact clear to Abhishek Kapoor recently, much to the director's surprise. The filmmaker (also known as Gattu) who had given the actor his big break with Kai Po Che had also roped him in for his next project, Fitoor, opposite Katrina Kaif. But Mirror has learnt that Sushant has made an exit from the project after the schedule of Fitoor clashed with the dates of another of his projects, Shekhar Kapur's film on the global water crisis. A source close to the development told this newspaper, "Sushant went to meet Abhishek this week to request him to shift the shooting dates of Fitoor. The dates were locked for the middle of next year. Gattu turned down the request and told Sushant that no date changes will happen now. He told him very clearly that if he does not want to work with Katrina, another actor will happily fill his place." So will this have a lasting impression on the relationship between the mentor and protg? "Abhishek is obviously upset as he was the one who gave a big break to Sushant and now he doesn't take his commitments seriously. The film dates were locked and a change at this stage of pre-production is extremely difficult. Abhishek will find a new actor soon," added the source. Neither Sushant nor Abhishek were available for comment.
