The Crime Branch has recorded the statement of Ranveer Singh’s manager and is examining digital trails. Though no FIR has been registered so far, the enquiry is active and sensitive. This fresh development comes close on the heels of the shocking firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence earlier this month. In that case, five rounds were fired and the accused were later arrested. Investigators revealed that the shooters were allegedly promised Rs 23 lakh, with a portion already paid in advance.

The weapon used was said to be a country-made but high-impact firearm, and five 7.62 mm bullets were discharged. Shortly after the incident, a social media account reportedly linked to gang member Shubham Lonkar posted a chilling message, calling the firing a “trailer” and hinting at further attacks.
