My quest-ion is after all this butchering, how on earth will they redeem Kumud's character (assuming Dikra turns up to save her life, aah, hmm ummm, Yet Again.....) after all this?

Right from the time she broke that matka at the Shraddh #1 (for the rishta that last night she claimed to still respect... haalanki it is now Old Hat...🤢) Kumud has shown herself to be undeserving of a love like that of Saras. Her levity and Thank you after Shraddh #2 (for Saras himself) and now last night's alignment with PPP have been the final nails in her coffin... Will there be a magic wand that will erase all these events from our memory (and hers?) and resurrect her unblemished enough for our Sparklingly Be-nishaan Saras?

Wonder what these so-called CV's have in store for Kumud Sundari's sudhaar? ......

After reading all points of view, I feel a tinge of regret that I am a late comer. It is always awesome to read all your analysis, andI cant imagine how wonderful it would have been , during the hey days of the serial.

Anyway, my two bit, for yesterdays epi-

To me (keeping the Kalika-Pramad nonsense aside) the episode was about Kumuds turmoil. As @Arshics said, it was a conflict between the head and the heart.

Her struggle to erase Saras ( rubbing off the smiley), and replace Pramad in her heart (attempting to draw the eyes ) , her irritation at finding them to be Saras, and not Pramad, her request to Devi Maa, to convince her that she had taken the right step. ...

Pramad speaking about Saras in such a goody goody manner, and Saras contradiction - was also a part of the conflict. The thappad was a reaction to all the contradictions, which she immediately regretted.

Yesterday, the swinging CV pendulum, went in favour of Samud. God knows what it will be today, but am hoping the "ehsaas" will return


For me as a viewer, I have given up hopes of consistency and quality! I will be more than happy, if they keep SAMUD connect alive, and give Gautam/Jen the kind of dialogues and scenes, they deserve.

And the magic comes back!!

Loved all your analysis and a special mention to Arshi's, hggbai and Ivy's. wonderful analysis. Does this show deserve analysts like you, I doubt. But after reading all your analysis like happy even I have only one question how are the Cv's going to show us an ehsaas back after moving Kumud far off ? There seems to be too many cracks between them which I don't know even if mended would look good or not. As I am not sure what this Cv's have in mind I will just sit back and see how this goes. Saras should have been the female role here, walking on fire beds and all. What has a Harvard return reduced to for falling in love with a girl 😲

You've said it all my dear doyens of SC, I have but one thing to add. Although I wasn't impressed by GR's acting this whole week, the characterization of SC has been preserved at least IMO. He's is one of those obsessive heroes who love only one person in his life and love deeply and obsessively. The reason why he's loved is because he follows the cliched trope of Byronic hero. Quoting Wikipedia:

"a man proud, moody, cynical, with defiance on his brow, and misery in his heart, a scorner of his kind, implacable in revenge, yet capable of deep and strong affection"

Such a man has the almost medieval knightly honor who would guard his love (now unrequited) with unrelenting resolution.

His character has been kept intact so far. In fact he is redeemed fully now. That was easily accomplished.
