Terrible episode, terrible editing and terrible performances by all. And this is not because of the slap.

SP wohu slaps the hero... now that is called nayi soch. 👏👏👏 Even if the slap looked it has been forced into the scene to appease TRP aunties.

Didnt see the episode. But today's thappad is not that impactful emotionally to me. Because I have an emotional disconnect with their love story now. And I dont blame Kumud today. The seeds for this mistrust towards Saras and excessive trust towards Pramad were sown in her mind long back. When she made mind to move along with Pramad. And got strengthened when Pramad upheld her honour yesterday.

But, I see Saras and Kumud as more than lovers. They are friends and companions. Equals. Know each other very well. Like you said, it is with that knowledge that it is difficult to believe Kumud did this. Saras never lied to her. While she lied many times(that she didnt have feelings for him). He doesnt pretend. If he has guts to say such a nasty thing about Pramad after their re-marriage yesterday, he must be doing it with utmost care. Saras's track record is there to see for Kumud.

In fact, her shutting her eyes and drawing the eyes, and finding them to be Saras's was a wonderfully portrayed scene !

As was Saras walking on coal, with memories and promises of their times together.

Watched the episode subah subah just to see how the thappad scene is played out after they ruined the Samud-gate expose by unwanted horribleness maximus, OTT drama. I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see an overshoot in the quality of the episode.

Just a quick observation: So under what pretext would Saras continue to stay with Kumud and her in-laws? BD's clemency?

Saras doing all this for Kumud is not surprising. Its his nature. He does it very seamlessly. Her life is in danger and much more determination in him to help her.

Regarding Kumud having Saras in her heart, thats natural too. She has seen him help her day in and day out. Instead of being able to erase his thoughts, the reverse was bound to happen in the sub-conscious.

I think every episode these days provides enough ammo to write a new treatise "how do I despair of thee? Let me count the ways?" (Apologies to EBB - see below) Why did Saras have to reveal himself to Pramaad? Why did he need to do a Salman Khan? (No reason except the Most Obvious) How can Kumud even consider that PPP could be telling the truth and Saras be dishonest with her?!! Kalika and PPP are made for each other in every way, so just give them the money and cut them loose, CV's! Spare us the blushes and the torture of primetime hysteria...
