you exactly echoed my feelings arshi...How could she believe that jallad Pramad so easily and how was she convinced so easily that Saras is lying??
but as Twila mentioned GR and Jen were outstanding as usual...
those eyes when Kumud slapped Saras...hayye I got teary 😭
the dargah scene I loved...lets see how low Pramad and Kalika fall and how high Saras rises in his love for Kumud 😳

I feel Saras is starting with a new struggle, he has Danny to support him, but today kusum also seemed impressed with pramaad, so even she may go against him, which means it will him against Desais and dharmadhikaris

Arshi, Madam Kumud was controlling herself. Didnt like it at all when she was waiting for Saras in dark. And the worst was when she said, 'tum ne aane mein bahut der kar di'. And because the thappad followed that line, didnt feel it was a knee jerk reaction though it looked like. My POV.

I agree, she was waiting there all riled up thanks to Pramad. Kumud wants to believe and make others believe that Pramad is changing, that she helped bring about that change, she wants to believe her marriage can work and that she has moved on from Saras - I can understand all that and her reasons for doing so.

But she knows Saras has never lied to her. The slap was completely uncalled for. More a TRP driven act it seemed to me.

Yesterday, it bothered me when she told Pramad that he would have ended the marriage but SHE wanted it to work... so basically it has to work, giving him the right to decide to stay in this marriage after knowing about her past makes it look more like a token gesture.

Put it down to bad writing in both cases I guess.

Back to today's episode, I dont know if we all watched the same episode. Gautam's performances have not been as convincing lately IMHO. I dont blame him for ridiculous scenes and dialogues he is given. Even today, none of the actors impressed me. His expressions while walking over the coal, by now he can do them in his sleep. And Jen, what was the expression on her face while she is gazing at the moon after she slapped Saras? The editing was below par too.

arshi just saw the episode ...i enjoyes every part of it ...its after two weeks ...i saw a full episode without fast forward

surprisingly am not angry at kumud but yes i do pity her for her desperation to make way for pramad in her heart and all she ended up was saras eyes piercing deep inside her

saras , o man , i just love him .gr was damn good in all stupidity he was asked to do ...and yes i clapped and giggled when he took out his watch and then shirt and challanged pramad for a mard to mard fight

wow i just love it when saras thrashes pramad , i feel like i am thrashing him, today i accidentally ended up tearing pillow cover while i bucked up saras for thrashing pramad black and blue

yey full paisa wasool episode ...tvt aunty khoosh and me shana a samud fan khoosh as well :)

I liked 'almost' everything in the episode.. it was a total filmy and enjoyable episode. Completely enjoyed Saras' tashaan before the fight, actual fight, coal walking. 😉

Then came the slap. I don't think it was unintentional as it came right after Saras called Kumud's PPP as janawaar'.
well, it did not seem very painful to me and I did not feel any anger/hate towards Kumud. In fact I pity her now.

She met her soul mate and they fell in love, but circumstances did not allow them to unite. Till this point, we can blame everything on destiny and luck.

But what it utterly disappointing is that she has never completely understood Saras and his love, looks like she does not have complete faith in him! He asked her if she thinks he can lie to her and still she actually believed pramad's verison of story over Saras' 😕
She thought Saras can go so low with his emotions and action to get her love?? 😡
😡 That's is something very pathetic to see and digest...

But again if we keep aside minuscule points like subtlety, character sketch, depth of thoughts, I did carry a smile on my face for most of the episode due to my GR. (this is my new strategy so that I can enjoy what i love the most in SC now- GR's presence) ⭐️

Arshi ji, Thank you for Thappad Bytes 😳

So finally I gathered courage to watch, both yesterday and today's episodes. Good thing I did in close succession, because you can't fool me CV's... Tum logon ne gears change kiya na? 😃

First, today was a wreck. The editing was horrendous - looked like a badly cut and pasted arts and crafts project. The direction was all-over-the-place and the execution, impactless. Forget packing a punch (pun unintended), it failed to produce even a whimper. Ergo, I christen today as the STG (Seet's, Taali's & Gaali's) Episode. Seeti's and Taali's for the bollywoodish style WWF (small mercy that Pramad did not go flying across the air... Well, he did so a teensy bit) and Gaali's to me, for coming back to this again and again. Seeti's aur Taali's ka aage toh pata nahi, but khud se mujhe kaafi gaaliyaan milni baaki hai... Iska mujhe 100% yakeen hai. Maine apna future dekh liya hai... Aaj mujhe bhi sanket mila. TRP Maiyya se 😒

Won't even mention the Pramad-Kalika shenanigans - straight out of a baddies special of Cartoon Network - The Evil Edition. Pramad ko sirf moochho ki kami thhi... And what came after, total TRP candy, with fight happening one place, intercut with Kumud's superficial 'dilemma' on the other 😵

Kumud - why is she made to mouth such contradictory dialogues? Just a few epi's back it was an earnest 'Pramad badal gaya hai, maine uski aakhon mein dekha hai'... And today, it is - 'Pata nahi, main kabhi Pramad ki aakhon mein dekh hi nahi payi'... Make up your mind, you vapid woman! Just because they had to bring in the eyes 'mann ki chhavi' again, they are crudely dismantling whatever was being built up these past epi's... Yeh saale kisi ke saage nahi hai 😉

I appreciate the underlying 'thrust' though, now that Kumud's 'win' is official (Danny's - jo Kumud ji chahati thhi & Kusum's - aaj aapne saabit kar diya), she is surveying the conquered land and realising 'banjar hai, sab banjar hai'... But realising ONLY when Pramad is not near her or in her line of sight... As soon as he comes, Kumud ji ka dil garden garden phir se ho gaya... If Pramad sticks to her like Fevicol, Kumud apne khokle jeet ko barkarar rakhne ke liye uske saath zindagi bhi kaat sakti hai... She can stare into the mirror and live a lie, as long as the mirror reflects to her Pramad standing beside. When she is alone, that is when she will not like and be unable to confront what the mirror shows. Either Pramad hona chahiye, as her trophy. Ya Saras, as the smiley. Kumud today remains as selfish as ever. Also, there was no built-up for this, it was thrown at like a bolt from the blue, and that robbed it of its impact, rendered it unconvincing. Her desire to sketch, was her attempt to 'solidify' her triumph. Saras' eyes (the way she threw the initial to the side) was the unwanted by-product of her exercise to Kumud. Contrived. Also, Kumud is really 'unfortunate', she pleads for a sanket but it is her fate, not to be around to 'wait' for it, aur Saras se kehti hai, ki bahut derr kar diya? Btw, that line was a below-the-belt blow. Plus, why was Kumud 'smiling' in front of 'Maa', is that how she gives her look of concentration, or maybe it was because she was trying to sketch Pramad's 'chhavi'... Point is, even now, EVERYTHING takes a backseat to Pramad. That was the take-away.

Also, what is it with Kumud and those W*F shots? Why is Jennifer being made to give out such expressions like the arched, eerily-vampish look at Saras during her phera's with patidev yesterday and today, the spaced out look at the moon? Also, I can't believe GR was made to ham today, during his 'aa mard se ladd' pronouncements to Pramad. I commend him for keeping a straight face uttering such absurdity. Even the settings were not much thought of - the street where Pramad encounters Kalika, is the same where Saras beat up Pramad for the first time, and that time they were at BD's... Aren't they still meant to be at VC's right now? Ratnanagri ki kacchi sadke kaha gayyi... Did aliens come overnight in their spaceships and pave the roads, planted the lamplights? And how did Saras turn up there to give his 'curiosity killed the cat' look?

Coming to what I did not like... The Saras-Kumud confrontation and no, not because of the slap. Because it was all about Pra-frickin'-mad. I did not like the fact that Pramad 'binded' Kumud and that is why she did not confront Saras about the fight. With her first lines, and till the accidental slap she condescended to him, like 'ehsaan' kar rahi hai uspar aur apne Pati ko diye huye vachan ka maan rakh rahi hai. Why was there even the need to 'confront' when you are unwilling to ask questions and give answers, Kumud ji? Just so she could glare daggers at him and twist the knife right in, by referring to 'late' factor again? She looks at Saras and remembers Pramad. She is giving Saras a free pass because of Pramad ONLY - where is the frickin' Saras-Kumud connect here? She gazes at Saras, with distrust, the same Saras jiski chhavi aaj bhi uske mann mein basi hai... How can Pramad come in between Saras and Kumud to THIS extent, that due to his bind, Kumud totally shuts Saras out? Kasam's and keeping them, with various results, this was Saras-Kumud's turf, a hallmark of their connect, today Pramad has dismantled that also, and stamped his 'brand'... She walks off, he stops her, she acts as though he is a total waste of her time, and his words, utter lies. Aag dikha mujhe ek daraar. The way Kumud was sitting on swing at the beginning - imperious like the Imperial Empress having made to wait upon a discourteous subject whom she is meant to sit judgement upon. Her scarce words to Saras, dismissing him, and then the ultimate punishment and the blame forced upon him by taking recourse from their 'relation'... Kumud, you've learnt to play the game so, so well.

And... the slap. We can debate whether it was intentional or not. Is it really sheer coincidence that it followed right after Saras uttered the ultimate blaspheme against her Patidev - jaanwar? I watched that bit about twenty times, Jennifer's expression (hurt and discomfort in trying to disengage her hand) and then outrage (you can actually see her teeth bared, and her hand-motion determined) at the mention of 'jaanwar' gives the game away - it was a back-handed slap, and the way Kumud was behaving right through the conversation, an intentional slap, because Saras called Pramad an 'animal' after Pramad 'binded' her and requested her to be 'kind' to Saras is very much in-keeping with the Kumud who is now a 'respectable wife' and Saras her 'stigma'.

Another question... If slap was unintentional, agar uska haath galti se lag gaya, then why did not Kumud make it clear, get flustered that Saras mera yeh irada nahin tha, etc, etc? Why simply the 'yeh sab kar ke' and then the later, 'aaj Saras par maine haath kaise uthaya'? Why no acknowledgement of an 'unintentional action'? Plus she calmly informs him, very much the respectable wife who has been forced to 'engage' in such that she does not want to 'sully' their relation. Wah! Thappad Saras ko mila aur ab dossh bhi ussi ko mil raha hai. Aur phir haath bhi joda. How very magnamonious, Kumud ji! Aaj aap ke charan kaha hai... Aap ke pairon ke neeche se zameen gheenchna hai 😡

Again, bad editing when Saras reaches the dargah. Note the use of 'shakycam' or hand-held camera in the sequence but I liked the parallel today - Saras is blessed, he asks for signs and he receives it, his path and focus is clear. Kumud is cursed, usse Maa ki sanket bhi naseeb nahi. Later she repents, but would she have, if Pramad the trophy was there to 'prop' her up again? It just goes to show how powerful Pramad's hold is and how weak is Kumud's trust in Saras. Pramad's words to Saras after the fight ring true - Kumud would choose Pramad, believe Pramad in a heartbeat now. I am also a bit confused about Saras' last lines, Saraswatichandra ko wapas aana hoga? Does that mean he has already left? And where is the dargah exactly, are we still in Ratnanagri? Again bad writing, editing and direction. No 'suture' and continuity provided - continuing diminished scope for engagement. The epi 'crammed' alot, and that is where it lost points - there was so much to distract and irk from being throroughly immersed and 'affected'.

Ivy sister, I lub you for this post 🤗 Thank you for putting my thoughts in words😆

I believe I was the only one today possibly on this forum who didnt like today's episode. Everything about the episode was jarring especially the editing. I dont even know enough about the technical aspects but even to my untrained eye, I could see so many flaws. Reading some other posts made me think I was being churlish and picking on silly things.

Lub you right back 🤗

Bold: Main hoon aap ke side me ji... 😳 It was a really shoddily done epi, Nandy. Chock full of blunders and missteps. I don't pay two minds about whether that constitutes nit-picking really, to me those are not trivial things... And I'd rather give an honest take, or else give nothing at all =)

Question ji: Since we agree on epi, at large, what about the slap? I am convinced it was an intentional one. And launched at the mention of 'jaanwar' only. Kumud ne poore hosh-o-hawas mein lagaya
