Yes, Tripti, he is not sexist, and in that age, this was a phenomenon. He is so confident of himself that he does not need to prove his superiority to anyone, and that includes a woman as a woman. That is why, as I hope to bring out in my post on yesterday's episode, he lets Jodha down so gently after the snake episode, helping her recover from her acute embarassment by turning it into a joke.

She is not of the same mettle. I would have been pleased and impressed if she had immediately apologised, without any holding back, for her folly. He does show how much her accusations hurt him - kitna kuch suna diya.. roz roz marte hain.. but she lacks the grace and the sensitivity to do that. She is preachy and self-important, and the Mohan episode should hit her hard where it counts, or so one hopes.

He is an Alpha-Male & usually that lot amuses me most, Aunty because you pretend to be lesser in front of this variety of men & they fall all over themselves to assert themselves & provide entertainment. 😆

But Jalal is different. There is a man who isn't sexist, I sense , lurking within him. And that makes me lose all sense when it comes to him. 😳 😆

No, my dear, how can he carry both a very long gun - it is called a matchlock - and a shamsheer at the same time? Besides, one does not take a sword on a hunt, one takes a bow and arrows or a gun. One does not expect to get so close to the quarry.

He sleeps with the shamsheer by his side because there have been so many attempts on his life, all of them presumably by stealth, at night. He has learnt to live with these incessant threats, but naturally he takes precautions.

I completely agree with you. When I saw that scene, I thought the same thing. She wasn't praying for his downfall, she just wanted one chance to win in a game against him. I expected her to take the bullets out because that's who she is. Also where is Jalal's shamsher, I thought he never leaves it anywhere and always has it with him (he even sleeps with it by his side)
