Deepika did better with meenamba but the makers have done bad casting SRK as rahol.

I haven't seen the movie but my cousin and bro in law did...and they both said she was great in the movie and the best choice for that role so on that basis I would say No she wasn't the wrong choice...its good she did the movie...I heard somewhere that kat was offered this movie - im glad she said no, becos in my opinion i don't think she would have been able to pull off this role well...

I seen the trailer and u got to give credit to deepika for being able to pull off an accent that she wasn't fluent in speaking in. obviously it wont be exactly how tamil people speak but at least it wasn't so bad.. that is what I thought from what I saw of the trailer.

I don't think anyone could hav done this role more convincingly than DP... her accent I dnt care it was meant to to be weird in a funny way... but her expression were bang on in each n every scene. 👍🏼

And she was not better thn SRK.. he did wht he was supposed to do in comedy scenes,romantic scens n fight scene. He is anyday better thn DP !!!😆

Also I watched Bol Bachchan just few days back and Asin is so plain boring in it. Good Rohit Shetty didn't sign her again. AB jr was just plain awesome in that.

Genelia speaks Telugu, her whole family does. I think it's her mother tongue. She always says that Telugu industry is her home. The reason she doesn't dub for herself in South is because her voice is not good. She only dubs for herself in Hindi films.

The film made 225 crores...even if she was the wrong choice, it seemed to have worked wonders for the film!

I think she was perfect for the film...amongst the current lot, she shares the best chemistry with SRK and also, she looks so lovely in the south-indian get-up!
