With a rise in crime, six TV shows have come up with tracks focussing on women's issues
Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke: Eve-teasing, the most common and overlooked crime against women, will be highlighted in the show by Gunjan. Though a petrified victim in the beginning, Gunjan will finally teach the eve-teasers a lesson.
Balika Vadhu: The latest track, which shows Anandi and Shiv teaching self-defence techniques to women, is in the wake of several incidents of gang-rape and eve-teasing in the country.
Yeh Hai Aashiqui: Though Shubhlaxmi was a rape victim in the show, the message was that she still has the right to pursue her dreams. Eventually, she becomes an air-hostess against all odds and also falls in love.
Crime Patrol: The show aired a special episode on the Nirbhaya gang-rape. The episode was meant to air in January this year, but it got postponed following a directive from the Central government. It condemned the barbaric incident, which shook the entire nation.
Qubool Hai: The track showed Zoya slapping a molester. Mistaking Zoya's politeness for her approval, the guy tries to take advantage of her in her own house. However, she exposes him in front of the whole family and slaps him twice for his behaviour.👏 👏👏
