Congrats Miss America Nina Davuluri 🤗

I am proud that someone that look a bit like me won

I am proud French/Scottish/African n Arab / Indian young woman

Sadly ppl still view / measure by their skin color sad world

Thought its sad to see a few American idiots not the whole America reacting negatively do her win

I sure most of American are happy with her win . Sadly this would never happen in India where ppl of dark skin are consider not beautiful .

With one Indian Media personals reaction today with Nina having no chance to win in india was sad despite being an Indian American .

My skin color is more wheatish , and most ppl dont believe when I tell my grandpa/ grandma ( nani/ nano) are Indian/ Arab or that my grandad / grandma ( dadi / dada ) are African n Scottish .

And my great grandpa ( grand nano) is French . Most of ppl think am Brazilian since my hair is so thick - curly n my skin ton is more yellow tan type . I am proud to be a woman of color n I wish all ppl should just feel proud of their inner beauty not outer look . Don't let other tell you other wise .

Whenever my nani tell me stories about how dark skin were miss treated in India ( her father family first rejected her mom because they thought she was dark n will give them dark skin color babies n also bad luck , all this while her father was also dark skin ironic isn't .

Today BollyWood favor fair heroine over dusky one sad but that's the truth . While west think dusky is more exotic .
