I read this morning that the awards will be held on October 23, 2013!! And air on November 3, 2013!! They mentioned that there are more than a thousand nominations this year!! 😲😲 They are going to look through everything!! So, you still have time to vote before the night is over!!

13th ITA awards to be held on Oct 23 at Mumbai

The final dates of the most awaited 13th Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards 2013 to be held at Mumbai has been declared as Oct 23 here.

The ITA awards, which is considered to be one of the most coveted awards for the Indian TV industry, will be organised at Reliance Mediaworks in Filmcity in Mumbai..

The jury, which will be headed by yesteryear actress Simi Garewal also includes emiment Bollywood names like Rakesh Bedi, Mir Muneer, Javed Sayyed, Umesh Gupta, Maya Rao, Bharti Pradhan and Anil Sehgal.

"This year we have received close to 1850 nominations competing in about 45 categories. These include 18 technical awards, six popular awards via public voting and 18 jury awards," Shashi Ranjan, convener of ITA, said in a statement.

"Cutting across genres, the awards embrace one and all from soaps to talk/chat shows to music/films based shows to news and current affairs programs to children's programs, directors to actors to anchors/hosts to technicians among others," Ranjan added.

The ITA awards will air on Star Plus Nov 3.
