ArHi SS:A Thing called Marriage #1 *Complete*

Clad in a blood red beautiful lehenga, she walked slowly through the familiar corridor of Gomti Sadan which was decorated like a bride. Of course it was a happy occasion for everyone as today was the wedding of the second daughter of Shashi Gupta and Garima Gupta.

Her golden anklets chimed softly as she padded towards the mandap, accompanied by her friends and her elder sister. Everyone teased her mercilessly but she didn't said anything.

Because she clearly didn't know what she can say about a person whom she never met or saw till this moment.

Her gaze lowered to the floor as everyone turned to look at her. For once, she was grateful of the veil which was drawn till her neck by her sister clearly concealing the gloominess etched on her face.

As she climbed the stairs leading to mandap and felt herself getting lowered to sit beside a man clad in an expensive three-piece tailored black suit, she closed her eyes in pain.

Once seated, she didn't dare to look up at the man sitting beside her.

Because she, Khushi Gupta was paying for the mistake of being beautiful, a curse she hadn't understood fully till now.

His jaw clenched as he felt a girl dressed in a fine wedding dress sitting beside him, her face hidden behind the veil. He felt his anger rising as the mantras chanted by the priest rang in his ears.

Fisting his hands, he stared at the fire lit in front of him intently because it somehow represented him. His insides were burning in rage as he completed the rituals which the priest was asking him to do.

He looked up staring at an elder lady dressed in a simple chikankari saree, a warning conveyed through his eyes which didn't had any effect on her.

She stared back at him with such a calm that surprised him.

Focusing back on what the priest was saying, he brought his hand forward as the girl naah his bride kept her hand over his and the priest sprinkled some water, flower petals on it.

As much he wanted to withdraw his hand, he sat still going through all wedding rituals silently.

Because he, Arnav Singh Raizada was paying for the mistake of loving his family and hadn't understood the meaning of word helpless' till now.

She sat quietly, watching the wedding proceeding smoothly dwelling on some past memories which was dear to her. She looked up when the priest asked for the bridegroom's sister to come forward and tie to end of bridegroom's scarf with bride's dress.

She stood up and walked in, feeling pity for her brother as she tied the knot keeping her emotions under control.

Her eyes misted as she remembered the day when she dressed like a bride and looked away, walking out of this sickening atmosphere.

All this laughter, happiness made her angry.

Because she, Anjali Singh Raizada was paying for the mistake of marrying the person she ever loved with all her heart.
