At a time when most telly shows are attempting to cash in on their popularity with a new season, there is no such plan in the pipeline for Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya and Saas Bina Sasural (SBS).
While rumours about their revival have been rife for some time, some even went ahead to claim that Pooja Gor and Aishwarya Sakhuja will be retained as the female leads. However, sources now say that the sequels might not happen.
In fact, even the actresses have given up hope on it. Pooja of Pratigya confirms, "It's unfortunate because you end up waiting for the second season and let go of other offers. Now, I am open to interesting fiction and non-fiction shows."
Feeling the same pinch is Aishwarya, who says, "I don't know if SBS is returning with a second season. I had heard rumours about it, but now, I am willing to take up interesting offers. I would have loved a season 2, but as an actress, I can't keep waiting for it."
