Confirmed-Sumi has PMS - Page 2

i know this topic is meant to be humurous but i find it very annoying that if a woman gets unusually excited or angry or moody, everyone automatically goes to PMS.

Its a little insulting to womanhood to be honest. when a guy gets that way, he must have some reason for his behaviour, when a woman gets that way, she has PMS...

Weeell for me it works this way- If a guy gets that way, he is either on drugs or he has suddenly gone mental. If a woman gets that way the same two options plus hormone swings
I personally don't see having mood swings because of PMS / pregnancy as a demeaning thing because it's a natural phenomena due to the rise of estrogen in your body. Guys don't have that because they don't have pulsatile releases of hormones in their body. Actually having mood swings during these times can be termed as our haq😉

But I do see your point- it is kind of discriminatory
In this case let's see. Sumi used to be a nice,decent woman who cared for people and stood up for good. She used to comfort Ganga initially. This sudden turning into a horrible persona was completely bewildering for me. I considered the options
1. Drugs- Naaah
2.Idiopathic behaviour-Too vague
3. PMS?
Considering her age( she must be atleast 40-45, in India average age is 45 yrs) and her sudden fluctuations of mood it seemed the most likely diagnosis

The humor part was borne out of frustration with today's episode

🤣well they did bal vivahs in her time and got children early ...if Jagya and Anandi were married early guess Sumitra's married age ...no , i think she is a fairly young mother according to Rajasthani traditions and has not hit menopause yet . But i agree with TM that her symptoms r like PMS ...Maybe she is getting it early🤣

technically PMS is "pre menstural syndrome" which is the hormone related mood swings few days before the monthly cycle. Menopause happens typicaly 45-50. With Sumitra it may be the latter - But what is the reason for Ira's hysterical behaviour today - she was shouting at the top of her voice doling out free bad-duas 😆

Sumi's concerns are valid to a certain extent. I see her fault in only two things. first, her expressions hyper reactions which could be because of menopause or because of the actresses bad acting skills.Second, blaming ganga for what her son has done. Silly woman, she could have expressed her concerns with more grace instead of simply reacting and making things worse.
