Imagine if they played "Hamesha Tumko Chaha" from Devdas when Asad was taking Zoya to SM ... I think that would have made me immediately cry just from hearing the song 😭

yes it would have been great.
that song was playex in dmg when ridhima got married to sid so it would have been a co-incidence of sorts for ksg.

that's what I was thinking too ... maybe the CVs did think about that song but decided not to use it cuz they didnt want to copy dmg?
