My take on Tumhari Disha dated 31st Aug '05

I was kind of marvelling at Guha's brilliance. Surprised...then continue reading...See the story evolving. You have all the ingredients now. Masala aka villians in form of everyone (except Azuba and Dish and poor Aaroh of course as he is a small child. Villians include time and fate as well). Possible future realization by DK (that Dish was innocent after all) and then his repentance saga, Maheka's husband can come back. Maheka can decide to go back with him or stay put with DK. Dish can be the sarificial devi or decide to put her foot down for once (though i really doubt the latter one). They can continue showing romantic scenes b/w Dish and DK (as we now know that Satvik is actually DK. so no sentiments are hurt.) Also it is shown that DK is not too comfortable with over proximity with Maheka as well. So that also satisfies everyone. Rano can turn to eternal villiany. Ved may not be Sehgal (so some flashback can be shown. Remember the jail scene b/w mom and son). Gautam can get more footage and help dish or he can continue in his hen peck mode and remain oblivion. So the story can go in any direction. Now all of the above was from the producers' perspective. With these innumerable opportunities finally I can only say that

• TD will go on for long.
• We viewers will continue to get tortured.
• We will continue to discuss whether DK will get back with Dish/whether DK will realize the truth abt Dish
• Guhas bashing
• Suhas will continue with her flip flop
• Azuba will continue to support Dish but no one will listen
• Suk and company will continue with their evil designs not really affecting any one.

Few good things

• Am able to spill out all this in a forum like this.
• Get to meet you all lovely ppl everyday.
• Old DK. (which is a rarity though)

I was just trying to write something different from the usual Guha bashing that we do everyday but ultimately it came out to that I guess. What to do. Yesterday's final scene where DK admits to Pori that he was wrong in recognizing her and confesses that he is DK , I tell you I really felt like banging.

Nowadays Dish's trademark saris are plain colors with polka dot type blouses in some contrasting color with some chandelier earrings. DK thinks that Dish is doing acting like a good wife but he will take revenge from everyone. That was his statement yesterday. I wonder where the brilliant /shrewd businessman has gone. I mean if DK can be taken for a ride so easily then how could he have built such a big empire like Kanaka. Maybe at that time he was not an emotional fool.

Nowadays Dish is always hugging DK at every moment (rite chilly, i too had the same query) and she is always praying to god to give her DK's share of dukh to her. I guess it is all the indication of what is to come next. Maybe when Dish realizes that DK misunderstands her then she will remain silent so that DK is happy then at that time we will wait for some divine intervention which will prove Dish not guilty. (Same as when Sum had misunderstood Pori to be DK's wife and we were waiting for something to happen) btw any idea abt the mask ? as until Pori/Gargi/Ved reveal the truth DK will continue to remain in dark. Maybe if DK sees the mask he may come to know.

Acting wise Pori continues to do a good job. The way she was alternating between DK and Satvik names were really good. Clearly showed that she indeed thinks that Satvik acts excellently like DK. Also her relaxed and happy frame of mind was clearly portrayed. btw why is that eveytime she is in a movie she wears the bengali type sari ? Is it coz she portrays a Bengali in the serial ?

as usual nice to read something diff for a change..........i too have been wondering when & where guhas will bring in the twist of ved & his real father........afterall we haven't 4gotten that jail scene.........

neither have i 4gotten the fact that some1 (i still think its taj since he was around at that stage) recorded VPG's confession to dk's shooting.........& yes ofcourse that mask is also around somewhere.........

& where is shikha roy who helped dish while she was in jail???

Swathi thanks once again for your brilliant take as it is all a pleasure and also saving grace as TD was even more annoying yesterday especially DK knows how much DIsha loved him but he can't see through her I mean when you have been through so many ups and downs in your life you tend to realise ppl that love you but As swathi said he is being an emotional fool.. 😆

Guhas's bashing is our best tool to take our frustration and anger out as they torture the viewners at every given opporunity...Well I think th story will depend on how long extension they have had I thnk they will bring all kinds of twists and turn to drag it...

Disha and DK will meet only at the end of the serial as I Can see this happening unless they are planning to bring them together and showing a leap...

Well enough said but now lets see where Guhas take us well I think we are heading towards guhaland if not already there... 😆 😆 😆

I actually watched TD yesterday and was impressed by DK's performance. He is really good in scenes where he has to emote using his eyes....and since he has a very impassive, unexpressive face, his eyes speak volumes.

Some scenes that stood out yesterday:

DK and Disha doing the Pooja....DK's face registered an intense mix of being torn between love and hatred, belief and disbelief, hope and hopelessness....the fact that the actor shows all these emotions in an understated way is quite impressive.

DK and Vedant's scene in the Office....Again very well done!

DK and Pori's scene at the Shoot....Pori is an excellent actress and her expression's are pretty bang on!

I fully agree with you Swathi, that the character evolution in Tumhari Disha is extremely illogical and totally false. It just defies sense! Every fiction character like a real human being is prone to change and development, but to show a person doing a 360 degrees change is a little tough to digest....how can a shrewd and man of the world like DK ever believe that a woman like Disha, whom he knows inside out, will ever betray him?

But no doubt about the fact that DK is 1000 times better than Satwik, in both looks and character wise!

Hoping to see more entertating times in TD....and yes, reading your great takes and posts! 😛
