It was reported by certain sections of media that Anupriya Kapoor is all set to be paired opposite Karan Sharma in the next episodic story of Yeh Hai Aashiqui.

However, we have now been informed that Soumya Seth, popular as Navya and last seen in Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat, has replaced Anupriya even before the shoot.

When contacted, Karan said, "It's a very interesting show. The way they portray unusual love stories is amazing. I am playing a medical student, who falls in love with a Muslim girl."
Soumya, who is expected to start shooting today, confirmed the buzz. "I am really excited because I've never played a Muslim character. It's also because of my friend Vikas Gupta, producer of the show, that I took up the show. I hope my viewers like it," she said.
