yes she is not as traditional looking as deepika, yes she is not a great dancer., yes she is older than ranveer.

but after seeing the trailer...without any hesitation i say kareena could have done wonders with this role.

and yes...her and ranveer would have been as much a hit as deepika and ranveer.

she could have killed it, take it from me, one of her harshest critic.

i don't know about other kareena fans, but at least i am going to be honest here and say , yes it hurts to see such a dream project slipped away from kareena.

you work hard, struggle, fight, win, lose, ...and it all comes to that one movie.

might turn out to be the biggest mistake of kareena's career. you can clearly see the difference between a punit movie and a bhansali movie.

i am still devastated, yes to see your once fav star lose, and what loss, i seriously wanted her to work with the likes of yash chopra and bhansali. the directors who take extra care of their heroines.

kareena definitely needed this ram leela, and ranveer at this time of her career. THIS would have been a comeback for her..yes a married actress comeback.

not some shuddhi...like karan malhotra...GARBAGE!!

ps...no offence to deepika fans...its just that it hurts today. hell you all...go have a blast. there is no turning back for deepu. just wait and watch for that movie with rajni sir. with A R rehman music, some smashing dances ..gonna be a treat. deepika has more coming. and wait till happy new year comes...and that too with farah...

I wonder how Kareena signed the film in the first place. I am sure she had problems with all the love-making and kissing scenes. Saifeena have a pact to not kiss on screen. How would it have worked then? Saif's kiss with Deepika and Diana looked so awkward in Cocktail because it was obviously fake...

Nah Bri...I dont think Kareena could have played Leela as well as DP. She would have to change a lot in her style and Kareena's biggest flaw is her laziness wrt the craft of acting.

As for the decision of letting go RL...SLB said RL or marriage. Kareena chose marriage. There is a right time for everything and Kareena probably felt this was the right time for marriage...RL jaaye bhaad mein. I am with her on that. What she should have done is signed those silly projects like Satyagrah, GTPM to prove she is getting better offers than RL. She didnt need to act so desperate and make a laughing stock of herself.

You know what, I agree with you. This is one reason why I do not get invested in actors, because as a fan you cannot do much when you see your favorite actor/actress make all of the wrong moves. I'm not sure why Kareena was dropped from RL, but you're right...she needed a RL, not Punit M or KJO or Hrithik. It's also very sad that in thirteen yrs, she's known for JWM..just one role of hers when she could have done so much more because she had potential. Now that the buzz around her is dying and she herself basically has only two movies at hand (Shuddhi will not do her much good, Dharma-Balaji may). Kareena could have been a lot, but that's the problem...she could have been if not for more than half of the choices she made. She's a star in her own right, but her contemporaries were far greater actors than her, and that's sad because she can be a great actor too.

I'm beyond ecstatic by the trailer and Ranveer - DP are mindfreakingly awesome in it, but I also know that had that been Kareena in it, she would have done equally well (if not more! Because she's such a spontaneous and instinctual actor).

and i think the second biggest mistake she made, by signing satyagrah and punits shyte. i remember screaming ..don't panic . its ok, ram leela is gone, so be it. take a breather, regroup and wait for that good script fo come by.

but to save her face from humiliation she end up signing 2 big shytes. these 2 movies will pull her further down.

i know every girl has a dream of getting settled. same applies for kareena . but what i want to know, her and nawab were banging peacefully for good five yrs. kareena being so passionate about movie, movie is in my blood, yada, how come she couldn't do something to save ram leela. this was crucial time for her. age is also catching up with her.

just after getting married she comes out shouting, oh the media were so much after us thats why we got married, and not only that, the following month she goes on the roof and shouts...we are not going to have kids.

It was absolutely wrong of SLB to ask Kareena to choose his film over her marriage and it was ryt of her to leave it

Kareena would have definitely been a better choice for Raamleela though

Though In a moment of panic kareena signed satyagraha and GTPM so that it luks like she still had work after marriage

a mistake definitely but atleast GTPM luks decent

She would have been better off if she had took a break after marriage for a year or two, then had come back with a great script

Punit's film will be another dissppointment, he's the worst director there is possibly and Imran Khan is surviving on the last leg of his good-for-nothing career. Bebo could have been so much more than what she stands for today...she had everything going in her favor, from stardom to fandom to movie offers. I'm not an ardent fan of hers, but I always thought she was a good actor, unfortunately as an audience, we were not able to view much from her..at least not much worth discussing. I know her fans may defend her choices (we all do that as fans)..but Kareena has left me wanting for more always. *sigh* Had she not signed Satyagraha or Punit's film, she would have been fine as well. It's better to sit home and eat pizza (her words) than do movies halfheartedly. I'm happy DP has come into her own, but RL would have done wonders to Kareena as well.

well i hope the kisses don't come between shuddhi and nawab, or else in a blink it will go to hot and happening deepu.

as for cocktail...pls don't talk about it, cos guess the more i think of cocktail and lak, the more i am getting pissed at nawab. he certainly is a big helper in deep's career.

If I remember right...the wedding date was all fixed and everything was ready. At that time SLB wanted her to give dates for his film. It would have been terrible of Kareena to back out from getting married then. I think she did the right thing at that time. Her mistake was what she did after backing out from RL ie foist herself on Punit/Imran plus sign up for Satyagrah.
