So just saw today the list of the participants entering the show this time and we have one married couple- Mr. and Mrs.Agnihotri. (Apoorva and Shilpa).

Do you think both of them coming together will be a advantage to them and will help them stay in the show for a long time or seeing the couple may lead to others nominating them? OR there are chances of them nominating each other as the week passes? 😲

It could lead to anything will have to see and catch their mind set [:-)] if they can nominate each other to stay in the house or push out or together they can outset everyone else they may do it Anything is possible its Survival in the BIG Boss house and how your individual strength keeps you rooted and surrounding effects . Whether you are together or alone you are a single entity so its for you to see how best you can stay for the longest in the house. Advantage and Disadvantage being a couple are always there as the success rate may be high or low depending on the situation in the house as others getting envious about it .
Just my thought hope they get their stay longest. Wishing them luck

Honestly, I think they will do what most couples have done so far - not nominate each other for the longest time. Even sparring, divorcing Delu-Pillu did not nominate each other until the very end. So, no. I do, however, feel that they would have the advantage of a majority. They would not need to make effort to know other people as others would make to get to know them. There is always comfort in numbers and they are already leading in that respect.

Well if none of them is as volatile (read stupid/attention seeker) as Bakhtayar Irani, then being a couple can be really advantageous.

If both husband and wife treat each other respectfully then being together on the show can give you a much needed support .. the only thing being that if you act way too strong and visibly work as a team. others might feel jealous/insecure and might nominate you

Honestly, if the contestants are smart then they should ideally nominate both husband and wife during the first nomination itself .. I mean that totally breaks the couple's monopoly and brings everybody on the same ground

Obviously they will have an advantage. Even Delu and Rajiv didn't nominate each other except once, why would they 😆

I don't know if they have any issue, that BB wants to capitalize on why would someone bring in a peaceful couple...😊

I digress from most people here and think it's actually a disadvantage for Shilpa and Apoorva. Let me explain why. The thing people need to understand here that Shilpa and Apoorva will become a target for most people in the house right from the start because they are infact a couple and others will have a reason to nominate them. Rajeev and Delnaaz were not a couple in the sense that they had officially separated and were not on good terms on the show (or pretended so) but were supporting each other in a subtle kind of way. Event then Delnaaz voted against Rajeev quite a few times even though Rajeev was stupid enough to not vote against her. If you remember in season 3, the house was very much against Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar at one point because they were a couple. Tanaaz did not make it very far in the show because of this.

The only way for Shilpa and Apoorva to survive as a couple is to divert the attention of house mates towards a bigger villain and other weaker contestants.

they will be target of housemates.. as they know husband and wife always goes very ahead in show..they will try their best to nominate them

On the contrary, they are at a disadvantage. They are soap stars(read: popular) and a married couple to boot. Double whammy. They will be seen as a threat and one or the other half of the couple will most likely be nominated every week.

The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Count...

1. Married Couples will NEVER nominate each other. Even divorced couples who were not on good terms with each other (Delnaz & Rajiv Paul) did not nominate each other till the end. Shilpa and Apurva are a happily married couple. Why would they ever nominate each other? They won't.

2. Being a Couple makes it easy for them to manipulate other housemates. They will be playing as a Team. Shilpa will manipulate the FEMALE Members of the house, and Apurva will keep an eye on the Male members.

3. Being a Couple makes it easier for them to Spy on others. Suppose the housemates are sitting in two groups in different corners of the house, then the couple can split and each can join the conversation in different groups. They can later exchange all the information between them when they are alone.

4. Apurva and Shilpa are known to engage in Public Display of Affection even in their real lives, so they will do the same in the house. Being a husband-wife they might get intimate with each other easily in front of the camera...and we all know that sex sells in India. 😃 This will be a cheap way for them to get TRPs and stay in the game longer.

This couple is at a Huge Advantage right from the start. And the argument that they will be the target of the rest of the housemates for being a couple does not hold any water as they have TWO votes to nominate anyone who they think is going against them. So others will actually be afraid to nominate these two because they know that if the couple gets to know that a particular housemate is going to nominate them, they will both nominate that person.

Couples get to survive longer in the show than they would have survived if they were individuals. It's easier to oust a boring individual, but it is difficult to oust a Boring Couple. We saw the proof last year. Delnaz and Rajiv Paul were to of the MOST BORING individuals you will ever come across, yet they survived till the finals. How? Because they played as a TEAM. I think it is very unfair to others that Bigg Boss sends a couple every year. Bigg Boss is not a team sport.
