IT WAS THE MOST TALKED-ABOUT LOVE STORY ON THE BIGGEST REALITY SHOW OF ALL, BIGG BOSS. WHEN ARYAN VAID DECIDED TO WOO ANUPAMA VERMA RELENTLESSLY AS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY WATCHED, LOVE SEEMED TO BE IN THE AIR. AND WHEN HE SHED BUCKETS OF TEARS WHEN HE WAS ASKED TO QUIT THE SHOW, EVERYTHING SEEMED SO PERFECT — THEY LOOKED MADE FOR EACH OTHER. "I WILL WAIT FOR HER OUTSIDE," SAID ARYAN. "MY LOVE IS REAL AND I WILL PROVE THAT."

But a month later, everything seems to have changed. One actually expected a sweeping romance to make headlines once Anupama too returned to reality. Instead, things have soured to such an extent between the two of them that Aryan and Anupama cannot even see eye-to-eye anymore. The actress shocked everyone when she said on the grand finale of Bigg Boss, "After I came out of the house, I realized that for Aryan, it was all a game." She implied that Aryan's feelings for her were merely an act. And she said all this in the presence of a teary-eyed Aryan, who refused to comment on the sudden change of things.

Tears, tantrums, trauma were orchestrated like never before in Bigg Boss, where the stage was set for unabashed flirtations, notoriety, deceit, jealousy, hi-voltage drama and protagonists oozing an ample amount of glycerine. And all this was played up to hanker for those countless eyeballs whose interest would ensure a longer stay and more moolah for the contestants.

All of us know that Aryan went overly mushy over drop-dead-gorgeous Anupama. But now as we analyze the story, it surely seems that his emotions were for real, unlike what Anupama believes. A little birdie tells us, "Anupama was dicey and unpredictable while Aryan was clearly besotted by her charm. His infatuation for his ladylove made him actually take great care of her. So charmed was Aryan that this hunk ended up becoming Anupama's pup to the extent of following her wherever she went inside the house. And the shrewd woman was happily enjoying the stud-muffin's attention."

Our source goes on to add that Anupama smartly played a double game. "At one point she revelled under the shower of attention she was getting from Aryan while on the other, she would unashamedly flirt and then blush to scarlet! She referred to herself as Veronica, Aryan as Archie and Ragini (who had a crush on Aryan) as Betty. She would also go to the extent of holding his hands. He would also press her hands and feet. Like a love-struck Romeo, Aryan would try to win over his queen of hearts by singing songs to her. So crazy was Aryan about Anupama that he would stand outside her room and keep staring at her endlessly. Aryan was nave enough to believe that Anupama was in love with him too, but because of the parental pressure, she couldn't be with him!"

Now that they have parted ways, and in a not-so-pleasant manner, people close to both the sides have different versions to tell. According to some, Anupama was never really interested in Aryan. "She was playing a game with him because she thought the audience would never vote out a romantic couple," reveals a member from the Bigg Boss team. "That's why she never committed to him in public; nor did she ever confess her true feelings. Now that the show is over, she doesn't need him at all. So she's dumped him."

But that's only one aspect of it. Sources close to Anupama insist that once Aryan was out of the show, he was a different man altogether. "He went back to his old philandering ways," says one. "Anupama couldn't believe this was the same man."

Even as the media tries to pick up the shattered pieces of this love story, both Aryan and Anupama have decided to go on with their respective lives. Maybe that's why they don't even want to be reminded of this sad episode. When we called him, Aryan refused to delve on it anymore. "Let's not talk about it. It's over and finished."

After a lot of persuasion, Anupama decided to have her say. "I don't know about the others but as far as I am concerned, I wasn't playing any game. This was a reality show and I was just being myself. And people have loved me for that. I don't want to say anything else. I had poured my heart out on the grand finale."

But during the grand finale, weren't there icy cold vibes between the two of them? Anupama and Aryan didn't even look at each other; leave aside exchanging pleasantries for old times' sake. "I don't think that was true. There were no cold vibes. I don't have any bitterness for Aryan," stated the actress.

So would she talk to Aryan if he bumps into her or would she just ignore him completely? "Why would I ignore him or anybody for that matter? People have loved the fact that I was just being myself. And I haven't changed a bit after Bigg Boss. I was only being myself." And that's how a love story ended even before it could take off!
