ArShi OS|| The right time..?

She looked up from the pages of book she was so engrossed in till now to find a pair of chocolate brown eyes looking at her in such a way that made her hold her breath for a moment... just like he had in the past one month.. she thought.

She felt herself drown in the pool of those chocolate orbs as her lips curved into a silly stupid smile which was returned by a slight smirk by him.

This session of starting was the the same since the past month. She used to sit on her usual place in library reading her books as she loved them...books were her best friend and when she would look up occasionally she would find him opposite her looking at her...she neither questioned nor said anything.

She still remembers the day when she first saw the ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA the most handsome and popular guy of college in the library settled on the chair opposite hers looking dashing as ever in a blue shirt that suited him well...his hair without any gell slightly ruffled... some strands falling on his face making him looks cute and boyish as well but handsome anyway. She was so shocked back then to find him there.

She had liked him since the day she first saw him on the first day of her college...he is her first crush.

In this past month her like for him only increased

Khushi kumari Gupta was in love with him but was yet to realize that.

She didn't knew why he used to come here because he was good at academics anyway and she had never before seen him in the library.

But she never thought about that much as she was happy she got to see him every day except weekends for the time she was in the college library.

He released a breath he didn't even realize he was holding since she looked up and their eyes met...oh those hazel orbs of her...he felt he could submerge in them..

And her smile that always took his breath away.

The only thought in his mind currently is she is beautiful damn even that would be an understatement.

He looked in awe as she tucked back a strand of hair behind her ear and he remembered the day he felt himself falling for this beauty.

The day she had landed herself in his arms...a moment he will cherish his entire life.

It was a month back when he noticed this beautiful angel looking girl walking towards her class in hurry maybe she was late for her lecture and wanted to reach the class as soon as possible.

He was standing in the corridor waiting for his friend to join him so that they could go to canteen together that's when he saw her.

She kept walking at the speed of a rajdhani express and so didn't notice the water spilled on the floor in the corridor and slipped but before her soft small body could hit the ground he ran towards her and wound an arm around her waist while with other hand hold her arm and steadied her preventing the fall he carefully made her stand. Still holding her he looked at her face and felt himself get lost in her beautiful face. He saw some strands of hair that had escaped from her ponytail blocking his way to look at her face and so he left the hold on her left arm lifted his hand to her face and tucked the strand of hair behind her ear.

The sound of the bell brought them back to the world indicating it was time for the next class and picking up her books khushi left for her next class while arnav followed and went towards his.

She craned her neck and looked up with a hope to find arnav opposite her but to her disappointment she found the opposite seat empty and she felt that emptiness suddenly fill her.

He wasn't there..!...again.

From the last two days she used to come here with a hope to see him but she didn't found him there.

Why ? what happened ? this was the first time in this whole month that she didn't saw him there.

She felt restless ...something didn't felt alright. She hadn't seen him anywhere from past two days. Though he was engineering student and she was commerce student they both had their class opposite each other and they used to see each other somewhere around but past two days he was nowhere to be found.

She decided to talk to lavanya...their common friend who was in arnav's classmate too.

She twisted the end of her dupatta in her hand. She felt a little awkward to ask lavanya about arnav because to her they both were nothing but strangers.

Arnav and khushi never really even talked to each other more than a word or two when she would go to meet NK and lavanya and he would be around them.

She looked as lavanya's friends gathered around the round canteen table chatting. When they left leaving lavanya alone khushi took a deep breath calming herself she went towards lavanya.

"uh..um..lavanya"

"kya hua khushi tum pareshan kyu lag rahe hai re" (what happened khushi..why are you looking worried ? ) asked lavanya looking at her friends face she could guess something was bothering her friend.

"woh..woh..wo main..woh.." khushi stammered as she was really not able to ask she had never talked about any guy before as she was never interested in any and even after she started liking arnav she never talked to anyone about him.

"woh kya khushi" asked a little irritated Lavanya as she was getting late for her class.

"lavanya ..woh what happened to arnav I haven't seen him around from sometime...is he on holiday...what happened ?"

"oh...arnav who kuch dino tak college nahi ane wala..par why are you asking about him"

Lavanya had a little idea about their feeling being friends with both of them she had noticed them staring and sharing shy glances at each other many times too.

"why..kyu nahi ane wala..woh theek toh hai na ?" (why is he not coming ..is he alright ?) asked khushi suddenly feeling a panicked the restless feeling coming back to her.

"relax khushi ..woh theek hai par umm.." lavanya didn't knew how to tell her after looking at khushi's reaction.

"woh actually arnav ka chota sa accident ho gaya hai and so he is hospital right now"

Lavanya and some of arnav's friends were informed about his accident yesterday and had gone to meet him.

"WHAT.." her reaction caused many heads to turn and look at her weirdly and so she looked down and asked in a slow soft voice

"is he ok...umm..which hospital is he in ?"

Lavanya felt the urge to tease her best friend but looking at khushi's condition she simply told her that he is ok and it was a minor accident and he is in city hospital.

"May I know where arnav singh raizada's room is ?"

"Room no.15 mam ..go straight and then take a left the first room is his" the brown haired receptionist replied after looking at her computer's screen probably consisting details of patients in the city hospital.

She looked at the door in front of her nervously...i would need to talk to him wouldn't she if she went inside...should i go back from here only ?

NO !!.. I need to see him make sure he is find ...just look at him

She finally decided to go in ...pushing the handle of the metal door she entered and saw him awake trying to reach out for a glass of water kept on the side table with his working hand. His other hand was wrapped around bandage and a strap around his neck holding his hand in place. He had minor fracture.

His eyes stopped on her and he froze in place and just kept looking at her.

She rushed towards him and silently getting hold of his shoulder and made him move back in a comfortable position and picking up that glass of water from the side table she extended it towards him and he took it silently and drank.

She took it from him when he finished and kept it back aside.

For some time which seemed like ages they kept looking at each other.

No words were exchanged..no questions asked..no answers given..

In this silence they could hear each other's heartbeat.

Their hearts beating together in a rhythm...and their eyes doing the talking...

Until the nurse entered and their eye lock broke.

Both looked aside feeling shy and embarrassed

"wo..woh i..I ..main" khushi tried to say something when the nurse went back and they were alone again.

"tum theek ho ?" (are you alright ?) finally she said it. She wanted to know is he alright.

"haan" he replied looking at her. "you here ?.."

She looked up at him and felt herself get lost in his eyes like always.

"woh you you didn't come for two days ...I couldn't see you anywhere in the college...so I ..I asked lavanya about you and she told me you are here...so I came here for you.." she spoke lost in him...she didn't even realized what she had disclosed to him till she said it. She looked down shy and a blush spread around her face.

He kept looking at her for some time ..not saying anything and then he shook his head and asked "Why..?"

She looked up at him again and replied in a soft whisper loud enough that only he could hear "because my heart said to do so" and then she looked down and waited for him to say something. This was the first time she said anything about what she felt for him to him even if not directly.

When he didn't react to what she said or said anything else she stood up and turned to move out but felt a stop grip on her wrist stopping her. She turned and first looked at her wrist which he was holding and then up at him.

At this moment he wanted to say so many things to her but didn't knew where to start from or how to but the only thing he knew it was now or never this was the perfect time because it just felt like. This accident made him realize how unpredictable life can be and there is never a perfect moment to tell the one you love that you love them but the moment you confess your love to the one you love itself becomes perfect.

Since the time he realized that what he felt for her was not just a mere attraction or like but a feeling much deeper and stronger than that he wanted to tell her what he felt but didn't know if it was the right time to tell her about what his heart felt. But today he wouldn't care to understand if this is the right time or not he just wanted to open his heart to her.

She was his heartbeat and he realized he wouldn't be able to live without her...he wanted her in his life for now and forever!

"Khushi..." he said her name with all the love he felt for her.

He gestured her with his eyes to sit back down as he needed to speak to her.

"I ..I don't know when khushi I fell in love with you though I was attracted to you since I first saw you...maybe it was the first time I noticed you when you fell into my arms or the days following that when I would see you around or the day I went to get a books issued from library and saw you there lost in the book you were reading...you looked so cute that time you know" he said with a smile on his face lost in memories.

"arnav..." she interrupted but he shook his head signaling her to stop and continued

"khushi I had realized that I love you some time back...when I had felt that I was attracted to you the day you landed in my arms from that day...I had felt that this was something special may be more than attraction and so I had let myself give a chance to what I felt for you give a chance to us...I had started visiting library regularly even though I didn't had any work there just because I felt good when I was there ...it felt right ..perfect...I was always lost in your thoughts and when I started thinking about why I was feeling so and doing all this I realized I am in love with you but I didn't know if it was the right time to tell this to you so I didn't ...I was waiting for the right time but this little accident made me realize how unsure life can be you can be happy one moment and then something happens that makes you sad...you may be living happily but you don't know what happens next...I didn't want to die before telling you what I felt for you and so I am telling you that I love you.."

He then lifted his hand and wiped away the tears that flowed from her beautiful hazel eyes which she didn't even knew where flowing till he wiped them away.

A slow smile spread on her face as her words sunk in...

He loves me

Arnav loves me ! the man I had a crush on since like forever and have loved since so long loves me...

the time he didn't come to library the feeling I felt then and what I felt now when lavanya told her he had an accident it all made her realized what she felt for him was not attraction or mere like it is a feeling much stronger and much deeper...she loves him ...she did from starting and always will

And now she felt like the luckiest girl on earth currently because the person she loved loves her back.

"Loving someone and having them love you back is the most precious thing in the world."

She lightly smacked his arm and said "stupid don't even talk about death..." she paused and then looking in his eyes again she confessed.

"I love you too arnav.."

hello lovely readers :P

it's celebration time becoz today i completed a whole year being a member of I-F and also became a sizzler ...

it's been a beautiful journey from joining IF being a silent reader..liking posts ..start commenting ...posting my first OS, chatting and making wonderful friends and making VMs and edits opening a creation gallery ..from being a newbie to sizzler

as far as this OS is concerned i really don't think it is good 😕 i feel it is stupid like all my usual work or even bad becoz i feel instead of improving my writing skills they have became more bad :/ but i want to know what you all think about it so comment :P 😆
