I am not angry with Ira's words because i always felt Shekhars never really understood the base and start of AnSh's relation...for Ira, Anandi has always been a helpless poor divorcee who would have dies had Shiv not married her and for her Shiv marrying Anandi was like Shiv doing an ehsaan on Anandi...she thinks it's not Anandi's good nature that won Shiv's heart but it's Shiv's good kind heart which was sympathetic enough to give shelter to Anandi...anyone who compares JaGan with AnSh does not know how the start of both stories are very different...Jagya is helping Ganga because he took a responsibility...their relation started on completely humanity basis but Shiv helped Anandi get out of her shell because he was in love with her...Jagya helped Ganga from education POV whereas Shiv helped Anandi overcome her emotional fears...Ganga and Anandi are very different and so are their situations

Ganga got very much worst than Anandi because she was not only raped in a young age of 12 but also became a mother whose child got be taken away form her very moment and had no one to help her...Ganga was never emotionally hollow because she never felt any emotional attachment towards anyone except her child and Ghanshyam Kaka...Jagya helped her on the basis of humanity and their closeness turned into friendship and then love...their start was very different form AnSh. Ganga easily open up to Jagya and Ganga's has more open personality than Anandi's

Anandi was already well established in her career but lacked when came to emotional balance...Anandi, unlike Ganga, got everyone's support...until Shiv had come in her life she had not even realized that she needed someone like him in her life...she had refused to take Shiv's help and was fearful of entering into another marriage or romantic relation...Anandi was more submissive towards Shiv and that too for a long time than Ganga had been toward Jagya...basically in BV both families have taken Ganga to be like Anandi because she share some basic personality but no one has been able to see the difference b/w them so they take JaGan to be next AnDh without even knowing what really happened in AnSh's life and how different their relation was from JaGan

But Ira compared Anandi and Ganga on the ground of vulnerability.


What Ira meant that when Anandi had emotionally broken down, she got support from Shiv and developed love/liking for him.

Similarly, Ganga, would develop the feelings and expectations for Jagdish by getting his constant support and care.

Now where is Ira wrong? Anandi did develop trust and respect for Shiv when Shiv showed his concern, care for her. I distinctly remember one episode when Anandi told Shiv that no one has ever praised her just for her work and gave her the confidence the way he gave to her.

Please note that when Anandi said it to Shiv she was NOT in love with Shiv, but she had only respect and trust.

It was on the basis of this respect and trust that Anandi got ready to marry him. If she had not even developed respect she would not have married Shiv, no matter how much her family forced her.

Most importantly, Shekhars assume that Anandi got married to Shiv because she wanted to. Only Choti Ma suspected that Anandi did not love Shiv, but even her suspicions got dispelled when Anandi refused to be with Jagya in front of everyone.

So only Shiv and Anandi and the Singh family had knowledge that Anandi was marrying him only for her mother's last wish.

The others thought that Anandi is happy with Shiv and their relationship developed when Shiv came into her life and gave a new hope.

In a way, their assumption is not completely wrong because when Anandi had emotionally broken down, Shiv's care did give her a new confidence and in return she respected and trusted Shiv, if not loved him.
