Am reminded of Tabu in Fanaa in the context of this post she is shown to be talking to her daughter on the phone and coaxing her to have custard instead of kheer which her dadi has made...Tabu is a super cop on the trail of a dreaded terrorist...and her male colleague who already doubts her credentials coz she is a woman seems to be so amused and disgusted by her conversation....
This is another aspect of the dilemmas of a working mom...because she is involved in her home affairs along with her work she is perceived as being less capable or less committed...
Would love to know ur views regarding this too!!

as someone who's just started contemplating a marriage, i keep pondering about all these questions and more. tho i normally think about crossing the bridge only when it comes, this question has left me wondering a bit too much.

i have always been a scatter brain when it comes to the question of "working after marriage / after a child"

my opinion keeps changing according to the people i meet, the words that i hear or the situations that i come across.

and i am still wondering if i should get married now?? 😕

your experiences will sure enlighten me on this. please keep posting your views.... 😊 thanks! tally ho for starting this topic.

In my opinion it should be up to a woman to decide when or whether to have kids. Of course she should make that clear before marriage. If a woman chooses to have kids and be with them then that can't be called sacrificing the career, it is her preference.

Yes family women can achieve their potential! My mom worked even when I was little. She works and takes care of the house and family very efficiently. And today she earns more than my dad. My mom is a living example of the fact that women are capable of anything.
