I actually think that this scar is more realistic. The scar they showed on the "reveal" was too much and looked like a recent scar not one that was 17 years old. This scar is more like the first time they showed it after Zoya's very first nightmare scene when she just arrived at the KM.

exactly, this is similar to er scar in early days..I think they made it prominent during revelation only to emphasize on scene..
