Kayamath- A journey from Friendship to Love

Kayamath- A journey from Friendship to Love….an endless saga of a sweet relationship! Here's a love story from the Balaji stable which will revolve around two best friends who are in search of true love. Prachi played by Panchi Bora is a simple, introvert girl who is dependent on her father and believes in fairy tale romances while her only friend Neev played by Jay Bhanushali is a flirtatious, fun loving guy who eventually falls in love with her.

Debutant Jay Bhanushali, who has modelled for various commercials, plays Neev, a happy go lucky guy who eventually discovers love for his best friend, Prachi (Panchi Bora). This Mumbai bred lad got lucky when someone from Balaji spotted him in an ad film, and post an audition, he get lucky with a his big break - Kayamath, as the main lead. 'In my heart I was confident that I'd bag the role. I consider myself a decent actor and I relate myself totally to the on screen character I play.' Is he all set to take over Sujal's lover boy image, (as Kayamath replaces Kahin To Hoga). 'I've never seen KTH so wouldn't know about the chemistry between Sujal and Kashish. But Panchi and I share a very good chemistry and we are good friends. The storyline of this show is damn good so I am confident it'll do well. I am looking forward to the acceptance from the audiences and I am a bit nervous right now, which is good for any actor,' smiles Jay who only watches reality shows and has seen Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kavyanjali.

Panchi Bora, her girl next door looks have fetch her the role of sweet and docile Prachi in Kayamath. Pretty Panchi is an MTV find and one Balaji show old (Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi Hai. Just out of her teens, she has left her studies mid way to pursue the unresistable new show in hand. As homework, the actor was made to watch Parineeta, Ishq Vishq Pyaar Vyaar, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas to take lessons about friends turned lovers. So will the Prachi-Neev chemistry go down well with the viewers? ' Both of us have done ads earlier and I am positive our chemistry will work. The script is nice and it's an unusual love story where he is very outgoing while I am the shy girl for whom her father and Neev mean the world,' chirps Panchi. There was a funny incident while shooting which Panchi recalls smilingly. 'Jay and I had this scene together where he was holding my hand so tightly that my hand went black for almost a week. I kept complaining to everyone and hiding it with make up and my family was shocked to see this,' laughs Panchi. And what does she think about the tough task master, Ekta? ' Ekta is a hard working and encouraging boss. She's a positive person who placed immense faith in me and I am grateful to her for my first break.I always thought I'd finish studies and then join Balaji but they offered me this project which is amazing,' says an honest Panchi.

'Soaps require dedication,' says Jay

The actor says that playing the fun loving Neel in 'Kayamath' is very close to being himself

Balaji beckons
His is a face you may have seen in plenty of advertisements. So when Jay Bhanushali appeared with Saif Ali Khan in a commercial, it got him noticed by Balaji Telefilms.

For a newcomer it was a smooth entry when he landed the lead role in their show 'Kayamath' (Star Plus) after the routine auditions.

Ads vs telly tales
Jay says the transformation from the advertisement world saying, "The experience of shooting for 'Kayamath' has been great so far. It has been different from shooting ads.

When shooting commercials one gets pampered. On the other hand, soaps require hard work, dedication and seriousness."

Neel and me
"Neel, the character that I play in the show, is fun loving and has no tensions in life. The story has a love angle between Prachi (played by Panchhi Vora) and me. Prachi has just one friend and that's me.

On the other hand, I have a lot of girlfriends. Both of us are in search of true love. Neel is somewhat like me because he loves to crack jokes," he says.

Pal Panchhi
"Panchhi has been very comfortable to work with. Our onscreen chemistry is quite good," asserts Jay fondly about his co-star.

He further adds, "Since I am a newcomer, I am taken care of by my seniors. Mohnish Behl has been guiding me on various aspects of acting."

Jay ho!
"I see to it that I relate to my role. It is only then that I can act convincingly," explains Jay. He says he trusts his director and just follows his instructions. "Ektaa (Kapoor) is happy with my performance too," smiles Jay.

Destiny
"My dream was to be a cricketer. I used to play cricket regularly at Shivaji Park. But destiny had other plans," says Jay who is regularly complimented for his smile.

"I can't do a regular nine-to-five job. I knew I would get into the glamour industry," he admits. In the future Jay sees himself in the direction arena.

"I have always believed that this is a big industry, which has something for everyone. It is just a matter of time and luck," he ends.
