Swaron OS: How to...For Lovers
Are you serious?
Yeah, Im serious.
I dont believe you.
Why? I just never learned how to. Whats so hard to believe?
I meanreally?
Yes! Yes! Yes Swayam! I dont know how to ride a bike! Why is this such a big deal?! Sharon blurted out in frustration at her boyfriends constant pestering. Well I men I just cant wrap my head around this, Swayam said confusingly. And why is that? Sharon questioned getting irritated of the topic. WellI dont want to sound offensive or anything but...Arent your parents supposed to teach you that when you werelittle? Swayam cautiously asked. Well my dad never didhe didnt have time to teach mebesides I never wanted to learn anyway. Sharon replied firmly. Swayams questions were only making Sharon more confused. She wondered why it even mattered that she didnt know how to ride a bike. Why was it so important?
*That Night*
Hey Swayam, Sharon greeted.
Ive decided, Swayam replied.
Decided what? Sharon really did wonder what was going through Swayams head. Ive decided that Im going to teach you how to ride a bike. Swayam answered confidently. What? No I dont want to learn how to ride a bike. What would I get from learning that? Sharon responded worriedly. No I have already decided it. Swayam said. No Swayam! I dont want to- Sharon tried to say before Swayam cut her off. Im not giving you a choice, Swayam countered. He continued saying, Its easy I already planned everything out. Its a simple 3 day process. In 3 days I will teach you how to ride a bike like a professional. Do I have any say in this? Sharon questioned. Nope, Swayam answered firmly. Fine, Ill do it, Sharon replied grudgingly. Okay so you will have to clear three to five hours from your schedule for the next three days, Swayam instructed Sharon. Three days, Sharon said excitedly and corrected the tone of her voice, Why three days? And three-five hours? Why do you need so much time? Because it will take about that much time for me to teach you how to ride a bike, Swayam replied firmly. Okay, but Im not going to do this in some public place. There is no way I am getting caught learning how to ride a bike! Thats really embarrassing! Sharon exclaimed. Dont worry Sharon Ive already thought everything out. Ill text you the place tomorrow, Swayam reassured her. Sharon trusted Swayam more than herself and knew that Swayam would never let her feel uncomfortable for any reason. Okay Ill see you at three tomorrow. Bye. Love you Swayam said before cutting the phone. This bike thing might not be so bad Sharon thought. She might actually get a chance to, finally, spend some time with Swayam.
*Day 1*
Following Swayams instructions, Sharon arrived at a hidden corner of a park. There she found Swayam sitting near a bike installing what she thought to be wheels to a bike. Hey, right on time. I just put the training wheels on the bike. Lets get started! Swayam exclaimed excitedly. But Sharon was not so excited about this. She would rather do anything else with Swayam but not this. Do I really-Sharon started. Dont waste by asking questions because I have a lot to teach and only a few hours to do so, Swayam said sitting her down on the bike. They started out slowly with Sharon learning how to navigate, stop, and turn the bike. Using the training wheels, Sharon could easily work with the bike and when she did she got an array of compliments from her mentor/boyfriend. As she moved around she felt an unknown joy bubble up in her heart and expressed it through a laughs and smiles. By the end of the lesson, even Sharon wanted to learn how to ride a bike. As they were on their way home Sharon said, Thanks. Swayam replied, Oh youre thanking me now. Tomorrow you will be cursing me. Sharon curiously questioned, Why I that? Wait and see tomorrow, Swayam responded slyly.
*Day 2*
Sharon arrived the next day to find Swayam in the same position as the day before, but this time he was taking the training wheels off. As Sharon sat down on the bike she confidently stated, Oh this is going to be easy. Without waiting for any instructions, she pushed the bike forward only plunge sideways. Not so easy, now, is it? Swayam asked while saving her from falling. Sharon fell in to his trance as he explained to her about balancing oneself when riding a bike. As soon as Swayam caught her staring lovingly at him he also got lost in her. The voice inside his head reprimanded him for losing his concentration. He snapped his fingers in front of Sharon to get her attention and continued with his 5-minute-long lecture. Swayam placed one hand on the seat of the bike and the other one on the handle and instructed Sharon to place her feet on the pedals. Sharon cautiously took her feet off the ground and followed Swayams instructions as they moved slowly forward. When they got up to a good speed slowly Swayam left the handle and after a while left the seat. He watched Sharon sailed ahead of him on the bike. As soon as it begin it ended, Sharon finally noticed the absence on Swayam and lost concentration. She tipped over and fell in to the grass. Swayam rushed over to her only to find that she was not hurt, but just a little shocked. Before Sharon could start her barrage of words Swayam pulled her up and placed her on the bike. This time Sharon was not ready and ordered Swayam, You better not let me go this time! If I fall Im going to- Okay I promise I wont let you go until you tell me you are ready, Swayam solemnly promised in attempt to not let her finish her threat. The process of falling and getting up continued for quite a while. The fear of falling had made a deep imprint on Sharons mind due to which, even with Swayam holding on to her, she lost control of the bike. As her determination and confidence began to sink, her frustration and anger grew. When the level of frustration went over her head, she left the park without saying a single word or listening to any of Swayams.
*That Night*
Sharon sat in her room with the anger of the incident of the afternoon still fresh in her mind. Her anger only fueled her desire to overcome this obstacle called bike. She thought Im Sharon Rai Prakash and I cant, no, I wont lose to a stupid bike. With that she decided to go for the third and final lesson tomorrow and finish the matter once and for all.
*Day 3*
Sharon arrived at the park to find Swayam riding around on the bike. As soon as he saw her he came to a stop and got off his bike. I knew you would come even though you didnt respond to any of my calls or messages, Swayam said matter-of-factly. Sharon did not respond and that is when Swayam noticed the look on her face. While there was sheer determination, there was also a little bit of upset and some humiliation of the day before still left on her expressions. Swayam pulled her in to his arms and looked her straight in the eye when he questioned her, Do you trust me? Sharon stared straight in to his eyes and replied, More than myself. Then trust me when I say I know you can do this. I wouldnt be so determined to teach you if I knew you couldnt. I mean, youre Sharon Rai Prakash and this is just a petty bike. There is no comparison, Swayam reassured her. With that they started the lesson the same way they did yesterday and this time Sharon listened to everything Swayam said. After a few rounds around the park with Swayam holding on, Sharon was ready to do it herself. They started out together and slowly Swayam let one hand go and then the other. He stayed back and watched as Sharon maneuvered around the park by herself. As Sharon moved towards a tree Swayam yelled, Brake! She complied easily with his instruction and came to a stop right before hitting the tree. Before she could turn around to see Swayam, she heard him. Wooo!! Swayam screamed throwing his hands in the air. He smiled when he saw Sharon ride herself over to him and, figuratively, patted himself on the back for the success of his teaching.
*On the Way Home*
Swayam decided to drop Sharon home. They were on Swayams bike with Sharon sitting up front. Swayam can I ask you a question? Sharon questioned cautiously. You can ask me two if you want, Swayam replied wittily. Why did you want me to learn how to ride a bike? Sharon asked finally letting out what she was rolling around in her mind for the last four days. Well, thats a good question, He started out, Sharon when you told me that your dad never taught you how to ride a bike II kind of felt bad. Not because you dont know how to ride one, but because you never felt the exhilaration of learning something like that from your loved ones. They teach you how to crawl, walk and, talk. They also teach us how to ride a bike. Its just a stepping stone in our lives that, I guess, you just skipped over. I didnt want you to feel left out so I did the honor of teaching you. Thats about it, Swayam explained. Sharon looked at him and knew that she really was lucky to have someone like Swayam in her life. He filled the part of her childhood that seemed empty. She thanked god for giving her someone who loved her so much in her life. They arrived at Sharons house and Sharon got off only to be stopped by Swayam. Hello where is my payment? Swayam asked. What? Sharon enquired. Yeah I should get some payment for teaching you so much, Swayam replied. Sharon smiled and leaned in and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. Whoa, looks like I get an extra tip because I just wanted one on the cheek, Swayam teased while pointing at his cheek. Sharon blushed in embarrassment. Where is my reward, She questioned causing Swayam to raise his eyebrows in surprise, For dealing with you for three days? Swayam thought for long time before replying, How about just you and me all day? What do you say? Make that you, me and a bike and its a deal. Sharon replied wittily and laughed at Swayams surprised expression.
How did you like it?? Was it bad, or worst, or just garbage?? Do tell me because I'm thinking of being more active in the writing business because it helps me release stress...And i don't want to look like a fool posting things people don't like...So do give me your opinion through comments and likes!!
