I don't know about Vidya being Ekta's lucky charm but Ekta definitely is superstitious. She has this thing with numbers and the letter "K"...many of her indian serials began with that letter and she would release her films under dates with 3 or a multiple of 3.

Vidya has also been rumoured to be superstitious. Apparently she has a fortune teller and everything. So maybe that's where they connect. But Ekta and Vidya aren't that close so it might be more due to Milan.
