RR making movies for Hrithik is different from Big B praising Abhishek coz RR never degrades another actor to prop his son up....

even I don't mind Big B praising Abhishek esp for a splendid performance like Guru.....but why bring otehr actors down to prop your own son up! And RR doesnt go around editing otehr ppl's scenes from movies....I don't remember RR creating a ruckus and dissing Sorraj Baratjatya when Abhi for the msot credit for MPKDH and Hrithik was criticised.....

I don't think any credible newspaper would have the guts to lock horns against big B until and unless they have solid evidence to do so and an authentic interview frm him...

When did Amitabh Bachchan degrade other actors to promote his son? Is it in this interview?

I think hardly anyone knows, but during a rare interview on DD, when asked about his son Amitabh's mega success, Harivansh Rai Bachchan had quitely replied: When a father loses to his son in any thing, be it achievement, success or popularity, it is the proudest moment of his life. ( jab koi putra apne pita se jeevan ki daud me aage nikal jaaye, chahe woh uplabdhi mei ho, ya naam mei ho, yeh us pita ke liye sab se badi jeet hoti hai. )👏

So what is suddenly so wrong if Amitabh is being proud of his son?

Exactly my thoughts Minnie. Everytime a star son makes it big we read so many bad things about their family and the actor. It happened with Hrithik when he was launched in KNPH. Rakesh Roshan was so miffed with Shahrukh Khan for mocking at his son in Pepsi commericial. The cold war still continues. Rakesh Roshan even registered a complaint against it. Every magazine carried the news questioning Hrithik's acting skills and wrote him off. And now I see similar things happening to Abhishek Bachchan and family.

Why does Shahrukh keep on saying that he got an A from his son Aryan's teacher, a thumbs up from Karan Johar and so on? If he is good then viewers will take notice of it, he doesn't have to brag about it. 😉

Some excerpts of the interview Rakesh Roshan gave in Indian Express after the release of Krrish.

"He's one of the finest actors we have in the country today. I want to show the world what all he's capable of doing," says the proud father. Hrithik is also the reason why Papa Roshan will never go back to acting. "I see myself in my son. I am happy directing him," he says. Roshan attributes the success of his ventures to the rapport he shares with Hrithik."

My comments ala the mid-day journalist: So does Mr. Roshan mean that other actors are not as good and capable as Hrithik? Why is he making such haughty comments? If his son is capable then viewers will take note of it.

Another piece appeared in IndiaFM:

"IndiaFM has learnt from unnamed Bollywood sources that Rakesh has turned megalomaniac since the success of Kaho Na Pyar Hai. Roshan Sr. has sued Archies for selling Hrithik's photos without paying him royalty. He is demanding obscene sums of money for anything related to Hrithik. It has earned Roshan Sr. the ire of entire film and trade fraternity. Sources said that these unwise steps may turn Hrithik's fans against him and he may loose his popular appeal, appearing a greedy and heartless ogre."

(My comments above in Red are not my exact sentiments but just an example on how these so called journalists twist the words to sell their paper. What sells for one paper becomes the hot news for all.)
