Jalaal is kind of underestimating Jodha now- he maybe enjoying the tease and the hunting games with her, but he is not taking Jodha's rejection of him and her disdain for him as seriously as he should. He does feel that Jodha will soon be a mild cow-like subservient wife . Why? Because she married him, because her folks owe Jalaal one, because she took the holy oaths of always being at his service and looking after him, because she keeps her eyes lowered and does not meet his blazing ones. For him, the dagger attack was like one of the last attempts to scratch and claw - him tricking Jodha into feeding him was his another way of telling her that now that she is his, she has to be at his beck and call.
Jalaal is amused and attracted by Jodha's spirit but he also feels that he can easily tame it. Jodha really is a new fascinating toy for Jalaal, as Ruqaiya mentioned today. He has no emotion attached to her as of now - so its fun playing hunting grounds with her.
What Jalaal should and will soon realize is that he can toy around with Jodha but she will still be a spirited fearless Rajput princess deep down. What he feels is a flicker of arrogance and attitude will shine bright as the fire of a warrior- and Jalaal's ego and megalomania will not be able to deal with it.
Jodha honours her commitment to Jalaal as a wife , but that commitment is nowhere above her own honour as a woman and as a human-being.
Have fun, Jalaal. You may have thrown her among a pack of cold wolves ( MahamAnga, Adham and Harem) - but she is a better hunter than you can even imagine.
Go Jodha! Show Jalaal that while he may be a victorious Mughal, you are every inch a fearless Rajput who get themselves beheaded but never bother their spinal cord to bend.
