So, this is just something I had written during my WOTW torture days.. *shivers* 😆

My lovely jaan Vidya gave me a challenge to write a "kanha and Meera" OS on hotwa and ME! (yeah, imagine the pain I went through! 🤣)

Anyhu.. I changed the female lead and now it's an arakshi dose for y'all! Enjoy! 😉

And whoever has already read it, I am extremely sorry! 😔

Disclaimer : I mean no offence to any religion or belief. Pardon if done any mistake or given any wrong information. I'm not a follower of this religion so I know a little next to nothing about it! 😳 Sincere apologies.

"Yeh? Aur Meera? Huh" Arjun snarled, letting out a sarcastic laugh.

Saakshi clasped her hands in anger; wringing her eyes at him, she snapped back, "Kyu? Main Meera kyu nehi bann sakti?"
Sameer rolled his eyes as his brilliant officers had again started their never ending verbal fight. He motioned others to get to their assigned positions and left these two alone.

Festival time..a perfect camouflage for criminals. ETF had been called in to this prestigious Krishna Temple as some secret source had suspected a bomb threat along with a terrorist attack. They couldn't evacuate the temple as a grand fair was doled out where every night, various Krishna leelas were staged. People would go nuts if the police closed down the temple or walked into this holy place with guns. Having no other choice, DIG called in his best team so deal with this situation.
These two, Sameer groaned as he and Aisha walked to their assigned stage where they would play as Radha-krishna. Under covered, commandos had secured the area but they needed someone in the stages for the artists could be in danger too; thus, left them no choice but play the characters instead.

"Oh wait." She cut him off again and continued as he rolled his eyes at her, "Kahi aapko toh Meera nehi banna hai na, SIR?" she asked him with her fake I-am-so-clueless expression.
Arjun glared at her and shot back, "Yeh..yehi jo tumhari aadat hai na, Meera se different hai. Tum dono ki tangent hi alag hai."
Saakshi knotted her brows together, pouting. He was right. Meera was this soft-spoken, mild-mannered, gifted, sweet lady who sang with a melodious voice; one of the most extraordinary beauties of her time.
She was everything Ex-crime reporter Saakshi Anand was not.
There wasn't a single similarity between these two ladies, Saakshi sighed. Except one, her subconscious mind purred in.
Yes, both the ladies hopelessly loved their men who they couldn't have..single minded devotion.
Neeh, it'd be only her. At least, Meera belonged to Krishna all along and her Kanha did acknowledge her love for him. But the Kanha, Saakshi was in love with, he didn't even wish to see her face.
As Krishna was Radha's..sameway, Arjun was Roshni's only.
Cruel life, she pouted.
Staring at his face and seeing the angry expression he'd copyrighted for her, she hid her grief behind one of her smirks. "Vaise bhi, aapko sirf back stage mein khare hi rehna hai."

Thank Nandkishor for that! Her subconscious mind sent out a prayer.
Imagine him showing off his broad shoulders and a dhoti that hang loosely under the perfectly toned stomach! Nakko baba, paap chadega even to think what she'd like to do to him rather than doing his aarti.

And singing a bhajan? Huh..she'd rather start describing his physical attributes if he even came half naked infront of her and sing songs like "Ahaaw, I love to love you, baby" or "He just gotta give me that look, when he give me that look then the panties comin' off, off, uh", dedicated to those sexy angry glares he almost always shot at her way.
..regardless if he was playing a role of a God.

Realizing she had been openly drooling at him as he crossed his arms, catching her checking him out with mouth wide open; lost in her own fantasy world.
This woman.

Snapping out of her trance, she rushed into the backstage, away from his questionnaire but not before saying,
"Ab Meera toh apki main hi hu aur aap meri kanha. Aap chaho ya na chaho, maano ya na maano."
If only he could understand the hidden meanings behind it.

The stage is set on Krishna's Janmashtami at the temple of Krishna. There was much happiness all around in the abode of the Lord. The light of the lamps, the sound of the bhajans and the liveliness from the devotees' ecstasy around the Krishna idol were filling the air.

O re kanha nainako naahi chain nainako naahi chain

Saakshi, dressed as Meera, with Tamburi in one hand and cymbals in the other, the great tapasvini was singing ecstatically with her Gopala smiling in front of her closed eyes. Funny enough, it was Arjun she could see smiling.

Bhor takat hai, rah tihari Jage na sove re nain,Nainako naahi chain

Saakshi stood up and danced with her song in renunciation and single-minded devotion to him..her kanha. Surrendering her mind, emotions and the soul to him, hoping he would reciprocate.
But alas! There he was in the backstage..standing right behind the idol. Glaring and seething in anger..totally tuning out the love, the devotion she was pouring out. Their eyes locked and he knew, she was singing; devoting herself to him, not to Lord Krishna.
What was she trying to do? Win him over by singing a bhajan? He was certain, this woman could only lust over him but love? He wouldn't believe it.
She was so transparent.
Besides, he was no Krishna and belonged to Roshni only.

Jug jug se more tan man pe naam likha he tera Jugwale ka jaane kahe nata tera mera Tu mori ganga jamuna, tu hi mori trishna Main Meera, main Meera tu Krishna

She gazed at him, trying to read what was behind his loath. Sighing, she stumbled and fell at the flowers on the feet of the idol. Everyone watching in awe, as a bright lightening engulfed the stage momentarily blinding the audience.
Taking her cue, she rushed into the backstage but tripped over the carpet and fell on his feet. She touched her feet ever so lightly and then her maang; noticed by Arjun. (Hayo rabba, so philmySilly 🤣)

"Tumhe Kanha ka feet par girna tha, meri nehi." Arjun sarcastically murmured, making no attempt to help her.

Saakshi still lost in her trance, whispered, "mujhe jaha hona tha wahi hu..Apne kanha ki peir mein hi hu." Leaving Arjun baffled with her statement, as she looked upto him.

And the sun of a gun didn't even help her getting up but took a step back and stood still, crossing his arms over, flexing the muscles to no extend. Her hurt feelings got changed into desire; ogling at him.
Does he look hotter in a white shirt or hottest?
Smacking her inner self, Saakshi stood up confused as he took a step towards her which meant danger.

"Kya kar rahi thi tum?" He snarled.
Saakshi, avoiding the abyss of it, snapped back, "Kya kar rahi thi? Bhajan gaa rahi thi, sunai nehi diya ya aap behre ho?"
Being too annoyed, he ignored her tone and snarled shocking her out of her wits, "I know what you were trying to do back in the stage and here.. and I need you to stop. Do you hear me?"
Saakshi started to say something but Arjun pointed a finger, making her stop. "Aise paitre ajmake mere kareeb aane ki koshish bhi matt karna. Dur raho mujhse. Samjhi ya samjhau?"
He stomped his feet one more time before storming out of the backstage.

Crumpled and crushed, she stumbled on the floor once again as his words slowly sink in. She counted his steps, as the tears made their way out...sitting broken hearted once again like the ever waiting Meera.
Neh ki dori tum sang jori Humse to nahi jaavegi todi Hey murali dhar krishna murari Tanik na aave chain Raah take mere nain ...

It was smthing different from ur style but it was awsome!!!
Sakshi as meera lol no similarities
And arjun as kanha 😆
Sakshis feeling for arjun was nicely written!!!
It was an emotional update!!!
Sakshi touches arjun legs was a shock for me!!!

and u cracked me di...😆😆😆...bhajan ki jagah rock song!🤣...

arjun baffled with sakshi's statement😉...

Now that is just out of my imagination Tahi ... Sakhshi as Meera and Arjun as Kahna ... And ya you r right their story is very much similar to Krishna and Meera ... You wrote it very well and expressed Sakhshi's condition nicely :)
