Mumbai: Rati Pandey, who gained immense fame as Hitler Didi, a Zee TV show by the same name, is not surprised, but rather disappointed that it's going off air. She says, "Hitler Didi has always had low TRP issues. But when we got the news of the show going off air in August, I was disappointed more than being surprised." Pandey expected the show to go on till November, which marks the second anniversary of the show. "From last July itself, we were under the impression that the show can go off air any time, but it survived till this year, so I hoped it would continue till November!"
The actress will be shooting for the last episode on July 31, which will be telecast on August 9. Having worked for long hours on a daily soap for more than one and a half years, Pandey plans to go on a break. "I plan to travel, but first I will be visiting Patna, my home town." She later plans to make a comeback with a good daily soap and is even open to taking up interesting film projects.
Pandey, who has been a part of shows like Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai, Miley Jab Hum Tum among others, has stayed away from reality shows. Ask her the reason for that, and she says, "I had done one reality show earlier for Star Plus, it's called Jee Le Yeh Pal. It was an adventure based show, where I ended up injuring myself. Since then I have stayed away from reality shows. In fact, I have been approached for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa so many times, but I kept away from it as I didn't want to get hurt again. I think daily soaps are best for me," she expresses.
