I dont think his charecter is ruined. Asad has had many problems in his childhood. Circumstances lead him to be stern and not enjoy life. But you cant expect a happier person to behave in the same way he used to when he was miserable, can you? People change, circumstances change them other people change them. They do not remain the same person all their life.
i guess we just have a difference in opinion. personally i don't like it when they change basic characteristics about a person. i love that zoya allowed asad to have an open mind about life and people, but Asad was shown to have OCD and be a neat freak. i don't think these things about him need to change.
maybe i just liked the quieter, subtle, reserved asad more that's why i find it a bit cringe worthy to see him dressed like that. i just hope this was a one time thing he did for zoya.
and more so, i hope zoya tells him that she fell for Mr. Asad Ahmed Khan the way he was.
