Unfortunately as per the novel we can still do that...that would be the possible Act 3...

..slight potential 'spoiler' alert..

- track follows (i) ...a kumud 1.5 does get thrown out by pramad & kalika or leaves...
- then pramad dies
- saras leaves later...so knows about it but kumud doesn't
(I have not read the novel, but that's how I think it broadly went in the novel. The key differences being saras had not come back due to his eternal love of kumud like he has now, he had not been proactive as he is now and kumud was never a kumud 1.0)

- now dilemmas of Act 3 for our show could then be...saras cannot bring himself to tell kumud 1.5 she's now a widow because he's scared that she will drop down again to kumud 2.0...but unless he tells kumud 1.5 she's free she can't become kumud 1.0 and he can't unite with her!... so what's his choice going to be?

and as for kumud 1.5 ...she's still stuck in between, thinks she's married and its all her fault & saras fault...so she still keeps him at arms length for propriety and her sake..

I've seen comments in the forum regarding Kumud's 'abla naari' attitude. But is she really being the typical submissive bahu? I don't think so at all. She isn't effected by Pramad so whatever he does she just becomes numb to it. That's why the blood trickled down her forehead without her caring. But yes she does come alive when it comes to Saras. She is vicious, aggressive and sometimes crude because he gets that reaction out of her.

If she doesn't have this excuse of a marriage to hold on to, she is lost. She can't go back to her maternal family and be a burden on them, the guilt would kill her nor can she let herself go back to Saras because she has been bitten twice. Her distrust is not to do with his love. She knows he loves her a lot hence she gave her kasam the other day (what a complicated scene that was). She does not think Saras has it in him to support their love. Ironically he will now show that unconditional support.

Saras' past had always haunted him but now he is all about Kumud and Kumud only.

Re Padma; She is almost there- 'where Pramaad is going every night?' Or how his promiscuity evinced only tr 'Kalika'? Padma is a must. In book, Padma was Sc's 'tag' on Pramaad- not Krishna Kalika.

Second you on that Reemz... She is not "abla nari" per se... She might appear so BUT in her own way Kumud is still fighting... Her motivations are really complex and it would be a disservice to strip her down to lowest common denominators now. To extricate Kumud, from her marriage, is neither so simple and nor will it come without casualties, one of them being Kumud herself.
