Hence his quick realization and return, his traumatic past etc, so while gr is doing a great job, sc has been recreated stronger brighter whiter this time

Not only has Saras been made relatable and more humane, Kumud's character has been changed quite a bit. Kumud of the movie(which closely followed original. I havent read the novel) is not the 'ziddi' kind. In the movie Saras didn't break the relationship just before wedding. There was no engagement ceremony. He writes a letter and calls off. Then they find a new match for Kumud and she marries obeying her family. She is the only sufferer for major part of the movie while Saras was shown to be of 'indifferent' kind.
Here, its quite different. The stakes are quite high. The united, they had engagement ceremony etc. Saras calling off the marriage just the day before and Kumud marrying within 24 hours both had much higher impact than the original. Hence, anger component has been used in Kumud. That lack of thought on why a groom would marry her so suddenly and what kind of man he would be if he is ready to do so has become prominent. In the movie it was not(elders find a match and she agrees. there was a time lag).
You could lay fingers only on Saras and not on Kumud in the movie. Here, it is different.

And that is the why the furore, both are right, both are wrong.

@ivy - see saw effect validated - today it tilted towards Saras

@adiani - rishta nibhana dialog used by kusum - accusation levered at Saras - so jyotishi ji!

Ok friends, perhaps we are leaning a bit too conclusive on incidental 'pointers'. For name SC is obviously off beat. I am not much sure. But from some articles, or as from what some elders' (they too are at least two generations off the 'time') are reacting, he was not much liked. But neither much criticised. Perhaps in an awestruck deference to the Grandeur of the work proper...Sharing a typical response (shared this in TRP thread methink); I had tried to put newly started SC under attention of an elder relative, who has accorded some priceless nuggets on various topics- including exquisite explanations/elucidation on finer points of mother tongue's some priceless literature works. His response- quoting verbatim from his e-mail from U.S.," " I totally totally despise saraswatichandra; an effeminate character and the lousy movie ruined it more for me. I was against the entire characterization; typically over the top maudlin one." ... Evincing it slight obliquely. I am yet to come across a single person or a single article which liked or praised SC as character.😕

- His 8 volume Krishnavatara is another unparalleled work, depicting Krishna starting as an extraordinary man who transformed into a God.

K.M.Munshi! Aah, am in awe- courtesy elders' euphoric introduction to this man...
Patan ni Parbhuta- a sparkling gem- Gujarati's 'P and P'. This is one book that rivals SC's 'Prima Donna' status. It's a part of Gujarat no Nath series...also loved K.M.M.'s Parshuram Series. It captures vivid description of early Aryan Age and society. There is a lovely 'pearl' in that string; Lopamudra.
But Hgg, K.M.Munshi is not enough acknowledged for his much 'real' other contributions;
Do we know, who had majorly shaped Indian Constitution as gleaned from so many sources? Yes, we all know the 'eminent' contribution. But who were actual shapers?
