For a change, I have really enjoyed Basant's and Gehna's portrayal this week. After everything that transpired, they still did not blame Ganga but instead still wanted to help her. Ganga brought out the best in Basant. I want to see who gets blamed for Sumi's nonsense now that Ganga has left.

If there was a stranger living in KB who posed a threat to Shiv's life, then BH people would have definitely interfered.

Sanchi is not yet married to jagya, right... but it is her family's duty to make sure their daughter marries into a house which is not unsafe to live.

Jagdish's reaction to Ganga leaving the house will be very very interesting

Basant and Gehna till the end did not blame Ganga

Gehna's 2 children were at stake , Nandu and the unborn

this was bcoz the same situation had happened to Gehna , abusers had come for Basant and she had hidden in the inside room same way as Ganga had hidden in the treasure chest , and Ganga had risked her own life but kept her unharmed

so she knows

I find Nandu's relation with Jagya one of the high points of the serial so i would say that maybe he knew that there were people to take care of him

Jagya loves Nandu ...even in his grey shades

Jagya's relation with Mannu is another high point of the serial ...his attachment to the child is delightful to watch , tired from his day's work , he relaxes in the child's innocence

how will he abandon the child now

he won't .

See how shallow and inexperienced is Sanchi's conception of love and marraige and see his mental state , romance and petty materialism don't mean any thing to him any more , other things r more meaningful to him . He is a doctor and deals with poverty and misery all day long and returns home tired after this , and he has no wish to change any of this , does truly this have any place for Saanchi's lifestyle and her concepts of happiness ?

I don't find any mental matching between Saanchi and Jagya .

I was very interested when it was discussed that Anandi expecting Saanchi to 'change' for the Singhs was wrong as she has not changed herself .

But now is not Saanchi doing same thing ? All the time she thinks privately of how she will 'change' things , she will 'change' Jagya , she will change the entire household !

While Anandi did not change her dress sense , she never attempted to 'change' Shiv and the Shekhars . She and Shiv jelled bcoz there was mental matching there .

I don't think she sensed Saanchi was unsuitable bcoz of just physical traits but also her ruthless , agressive mentality which she considers being modern .

Surabhi - I totally agree with your thought about Sumi and her khichadi. Why khichdi - make chhappan pakwaan and sing songs and lagao mehendi. Your biggest panauti is gone. Bade zoron se bhookh lagi hogi ab to.

Maybe CM shud have been Bhairon's wife and Sumi in the Shekhar household. Doesn't that sound better ? A family of no dimaag women - and a family of sher-dils women.

Mazaa aa jaata. And Sumi wud not have been so frustrated either. 😆

very well written kools, esp the parallelism between gehna and ganga's situations..very true..everytime sumi has held ganga's throat for sum situation of gehna's..but gehna herself has never brought it up..i guess, sumi has selective memory and gehna dsnt..

and also abt sachi..i agree abt sachi having lots of "ideas" of changing the singh household and jagya himself..and she will never succeed..even if they do get married, sachi will very soon realise the singh household runs in a particular manner and will not change tht..it took anandi 12 years and a scarring divorce to put progressive thoughts into DS..fat chance sachi has..

see anu i see it this way

happy marraiges r when no one expects the other to 'change' for the other but accept each other naturally as they r and r comfortable with each other .

Sanchi likes Jagdish as he is good looking , a doctor , has he man qualities [ he does not give her importance and yells at her impatiently ] ...a typical concept in a teenagerish mind of a he man .

But she does not like his family , has contempt for his lifestyle . feels his values r foolish and his ideals r such a waste .

She wants to tame the he man of her dreams😆 she wants to get him first , then 'mould' him .

The he man aspect of her paramour fascinates her but to a certain extent . Her ego is supreme and ultimately he MUST change for her , everything MUST change to her tastes .

What is this he man aspect ? Jagya has his own mind . He does not give her importance . He does not change his opinions for anyone .

Sensing this , Sanchi does not confront him directly . Instead she plays games . She controls circumstances around him .

She tried to poison him against Ganga but he brushed it off and flatly told her she was wrong . that Ganga was a good mother . He believed his judgement and experience more .

But her attempts work with Sumitra and Ira coz both ladies r weak minded .

Ganga may be not so educated , nowhere Jagya's equal in status and an abused woman but she accepts him exactly as he is . She will expect no change in him and never ask him to compromise on any goal ever . She is very very comfortable with exactly the way he is .

Whether their jodi will ultimately be accepted etc is a thing of the future but my point is

Happiness in a marraige means being comfortable with ur spouse as he/she is . If u enter it with a stick demanding changes to suit u , u r being autocratic , controlling and spoilt and the marraige is BOUND to fail . Forget Jagya , Saanchi needs to understand the basic concept of marraige even if she enters matrimony with a so called modern guy of her type .

I really felt the absence of Ganga and Mannu when Jagya and Bhairon entered the haveli after filing complaint in the police station.It really looked like Jagya was all alone in the haveli in the sense that he seemed to be the only one of his generation in the house.
