chapter 9

The clouds tore apart and in no time the city was filled with water , today even the nature cried at her helplessness , the winds roared in anger , and none dare to step out in this bad weather but she had to , after all she had to step outside to protect him , to save him from the storm this was her responsibility she had taken oath in the holy fire and it was time for her to fulfill her duties as she took a pinch of sindoor and applied on her forehead , locking the door behind she made her way to the police station .

He cried in pain as the wooden sticks tore his body , he was already bleeding and now they had restrain to kick him and punch him to , he felt too weak to fight back like the way he tried to do before , but though he was injured he was not yet broken , he continued to raise his eyes on the police and did not utter a word as one of the police men said to him sternly

POLICE :Look at this jerk still he have no shame do you have any idea what a grave mistake did you committee , you dare to misbehave with a girl , for pervert like you the whole country is being dirty here we worship goddess and people like you rape them and insult them , have some shame and apologies you ba*t**d

He looked firmly and replied with a quivering yet strong voice

UDAY:why should I say sorry when I know I have done nothing wrong at all

There was another hit of the wood in her fore arm as the police continued

POLICE:you jerk you will not apologies lets see till how long will you keep quite

Saying this all the police men left him alone to the dark cell , as he rested his head on the wall and the only thing that came to his mind was her crying face , how badly he hated those pearls from her eyes , and more that he was the reason behind it , he did not curse the police it was there duty and with so much increasing crime they had to be stern but jai behavior shocked him , but now more than anyone the girl who mattered to him was his wife as suddenly his eyes fell on her , there she was sitting and talking to the police man , for a moment he felt he was dreaming but after a few more minutes he was sure that she was there he tried to get up , but his body did not support him , and his voice was too weak to call out her name , she unaware of his presence continued to pled to the officer

MANYATA:please try to understand officer he is totally innocent please trust me

POLICE:madam that is just what you think 'your husband is cheating on you '.. he tried to force himself on his boss

MANYATA:no officer trust me he can never do anything like this please leave him , please officer

She said with her hands folded infront of him as she cried out the police felt helpless as he was taken away by her pleading and finally announced

POLICE:ok madam please stop crying the case is not that strong so I will give him bail as you sumit 15000 here you may come tomorrow morning and take him away I promise to keep him safe here till then

Manyata had a panic in her face as she spoke managing to suppress her sobs

MANYATA:no I will pay now but please leave him

Saying this she started to undone her golden jewels and kept on the desk all one by one but the police hold her hands in middle and said equally grief taken

POLICE:it is ok madam you need not do this wait I am sending him free

He ordered a constable to open the gates as uday walked out , his legs were shivering and he was bleeding from every were as she rushed by his side and helped him up , the police declared him free as she took him back home , entire way both were quite , there was so many thing he wanted to say her , he wanted to apologies to her , but his pain prevented him from speaking any further as she took him to the bed room and took out the first aid box , started to clear his wounds as he grumbled in pain and after his wounds were cleaned she tugged him inside the bed , he tried to move and speak to her but fever had caught him , everything became so drizy his head fell heavy as he closed his eyes and held her hands tightly , the whole night she was awake nursing him and taking care of him , love did emerge in the darkness

Everything was scattered down on the floor , his spy a police men informed him about what had just happened , anger boiled inside him , he took out all his anger on the furniture his hands had started to bleed and he gulped down the sour liquid and screamed

AKASHl:why is it always that whosoever I love belong to uday , I cannot let the past repeat itself , this time I will get manyata by hook or crook , I cannot loose my love to that son of an Wh**e like my mother lost her husband no way I will take my revenge I will get my manyata

He could not do anything else but continued to stare down at the picture of his mother in the wallet as flashes of past haunted him

FLASHBACK

Uday was five and akash was six years old

Akash sat down quietly in the chair of the long garden as he heard many screams inside the house poor soul his mother had just left him forever and now his father dragged him to an unknown house as it took his father so long he himself decided to peep inside and saw a woman quarreling with his father as a fat chubby boy , who looked more like a fluffy boy stood at a corner of the room with tears trickling down his eyes watched it as the quarrel got worsen by each passing seconds

MENUKA:I cannot believe giriraaj you had an affair rightsince the past seven years

GIRIRAAJ:don't call it affair menuka I married Sanaya

MENUKA:oh really and than why did you have to marry me when you always loved sanaya in the first place and you should have said me before I should have walked out of your life

GIRIRAAJ:I had no choice I was forced by my family and even one of my word could destroy my sanaya life

MENUKA:you cared for her life not mine I loved you how could you even do that to me and if you did love sanaya didn't your heart hit you even once while sleeping around with me

GIRIRAAJ:look menuka I am sorry I know I should not do this but it was only after some months of our marriage that I realized that it is you whom I love but by than I realized it was too late sanaya was already pregnant I am sorry I cleared the thing with her and she divorced me though we met often but only for akash I am sorry

MENUKA;what you did to me can neither be forgiven nor forgotten I am going along with my son and you can have your life with son of yours

Saying this he saw the chubby guy being carried away by the woman as he flung his arms in the air and cried

UDAY:mumma let me stai I want papa plz mumma plz uday want papa pls

But his mother did not hear him as she left his father all alone akash could no longer watch his father crying as he went inside the house and gave him a warm hug and said

AKASH:dad plz dnt cly plz

But instead of love there was a slap right across his face as his father looked at him angrily and said

GIRIRAAJ:don't you dare call me dad you have no rights to call me so

FLASHBACK ENDS

A lone tears escaped his eyes as he called jai and announced

AKASH:jai take your case back and make sure he does not get job anywhere

JAI:ok akash I will do so

He disconnected the call as a smile crept in his face as he said
