Chapter 21.1 COOLING THE FURY IN EACH OTHER'S MIND

Uday and his family were on their way to devgarh royal palace. It was the first time uday was visiting the palace as a yuvaraj. His "fiance's" home. fiance!!! Yuck, what a disgusting swear word it was for him. The last time he had visited the palace, he was a commoner, an employee of manyta, and now he was a prince. It was on his parent's insistence that he was going over there to discuss about manyta's and his engagement and marriage. Since they were engaged when they were kids, the elders felt it was necessary to have a second engagement for the sake of the public and media who were unaware of this 'ristha' between the two royal families.

He tried to find some excuse not to go over there but he could not say 'no' to his mother. Avatika made him call his office to inform them that he was on leave and not to contact him at all today whatever may be the emergency

" it's high time you get to know your in laws" scolded avantika when he was hesitant to go to Devagrh.

The whole Devagrh palace was waiting to welcome their son in law. Komal did arthi for uday and blessed him, uday took the blessing of all the elders, soon they were inside. Manyta was nowhere to be seen, though jai was there flashing all her 32 teeth in a what she felt was a seductive smile

Ds: uday beta, how is work going on?

U: its going well ds, we are getting plenty of offers for our textile sector, the oil company however need some special attention because it's not giving us enough profit now

A: he only talks business even at home, once dad and son has supper then it's time for business talks, it can get so boring, they don't have any time for us ladies(meaning unnathi and avantika)

Uday stood outside manyta's room, he was deciding whether he should knock or not. Finally he decided to knock and then he entered. She was sitting in front of her mirror and crying

"Manyta? Are you crying?" asked a concerned uday. He was not the iron hearted man he tried to portray in front of others.

Manyta hastily rubbed off the tears " yes mr singh?"

"manyta call me uday, "

M: why the change of heart uday? Last time you saw me this is what you told me to call you na?

U: I know, I said that but now…

M: now what??

U: manyta, stop acting dumb, ok, you hurt me and left me to die in that station. As any ordinary human I too took revenge on you, I destroyed many of your business opportunities, so that should make us even. I promised my ma, I would talk to you, and I did that

M: uday, what I did that day was the greatest mistake of my life, I never forgave me for what I did. I tried to contact you after you came from hospital, but aunty and uncle never allowed me to speak to you, saying you were not ready to talk to me. I sent you flowers – red roses every day.

Uday remembered the flowers on his bed side everyday and he had thought it was his ma who had placed it there. So it was manyta!!!!

U: I used to love those roses

Manyta smiled and added: uday I know we both had started this relation in a bad way, both of us were wrong about each other. I am just asking you to give me one more chance to make our relation work, please?

U: manyta, I know , but if we are going to be husband and wife we should start by forgiving each other

M: I am sorry uday for all that I have ever done to you

U: I am also sorry.

Manyta hugged uday and said: I really want this to work uday

Uday hugged her back: but I haven't got MY REVENGE YET, princess, I will get it soon

Uday winked, manyta was a bit hurt but she manged to give smile, both did not know what uday said did come true

(for all my readers. Uday and manyta loved each other earlier, but they never understood the emotion. They did not have any other choice left. They had to marry. So they had to forgive each other if they were planning to lead a happy married life. Hope you get my point.)

Manyta and uday did not see each other nor did they talk to each other after that, they decided to take their relation slow and steady.

The day of the engagement arrived. It was decided by the elders that manveer's engagement would take place at devgarh and their marriage at jaigarh.

The whole devgarh palace was decorated as a bride, the jaigarh team arrived on time and the band was playing hot numbers. People were dancing on the dance floor happily

The time for exchanging the rings arrived, the purohit blessed the rings and manveer exchanged them, there was a slight smile on their lips. This was such a big leap for their relationship. They talked one or two words, but now it was just smiling state, talking can wait. Speeding things would just complicate their already complicated relation.

They danced with each other, keeping some distance between them. Just their eyes spoke. Life ahead would be heavenly for both of them.

BUT DID THEY FORGET THE SAYING THAT LIFE IS NOT A BED OF ROSES!!!!!!!!

Chapter 21 .2 MORE COMPLICATIONS

Arvind watched uday and manyat dance and his heart stung, the girl he loved was in someone else hands!!! He would lose her for ever

But he needed to know if manyta was happy with this relation. He needed to talk to her. Did not she kiss him earlier? Did not she say she was happy when she was with him? Was she forced to this marriage? Arvind imagined himself as a knight riding on his horse saving manyta from udayveer who was the wicked prince. Udayveer would fight and arvind would take his sword and chop uday into pieces. Manyta would clap her hands in happiness and then kiss him and then they would live happily ever after. Oh!!!!! His brain was fuzzy after all the alcohol he had consumed.

He saw manyata standing alone, uday was not seen anywhere near her. Time to act, he thought. He approached her with caution. "would you dance with me?"

"sure"replied manyta

They started dancing and arvind led her out, to the balcony doors. Uday who were returning with their drinks spotted manyta disappearing outside with… with… with arvind. He gritted his teeth. What was "they " doing there out? He moved towards the door, but then was stuck as giriraj called him to introduce him to an old family friend.

Mean while the scene outside was getting messy

M: arvind? Why are we outside? Come lets go inside

A: hush, manyta. I want to talk to you

M: what is it arvind? I need to go, uday would be looking for me

A: stop it manyta, I know you don't love uday. You don't need to do this. We could run away. I don't want to lose you

Manyta was shocked to hear what arvind had just said

M: arvind?? (shocked) I don't know what you mean, I do love uday, and why should I run away with you? Uday is my future

A: they have given you some black magic to make you forget about me. I know how to undo the magic

Saying this he kissed her on her lips

Manyata struggled to push him hard, but he held her tightly

Uday who had just come outside was shocked to see the scene. Manyta who finally managed to shove arvind away kicking him in his sensitive spot looked relieved to see uday

M: uday!! This jerk! He tried to..

U: enough manyta, you may have had a relation with him before but atleast since you are engagement you could have stopped this

M: uday!! Its not like how you think it is, please believe me

Uday looked at her , totally disgusted and walked away without a word

Screamed the headlines of the news paper. It was a picture of Arvind kissing Manyta , the same scene uday had seen last night.

Uday cut her in between and said: it is not the damn media that I am worried off. Am I some sort of waste basket to accept used things.

Flashback( when uday was manyta's pa, uday had to go out for a deal with manyta)

Arvind entered her room; she had just come from her shower only a towel tied around hr body, water droplets were like buds of honey glistening on her pale skin.

He looked at her hungrily while her eyes showed shock.

He could not control his desires; she looked so tempting, so angelic, and so cute. He pinned her to the wall and started to kiss her neck while she protested, no sound came out of her mouth as she was shocked. He ignored her protests

It was at the same time uday had entered her room, all he saw was manyata and arvind indulge in kissing. Manyata was not even dressed. It was clear like daylight for him. They were making love

Flashback ends

Mr: uday!!! I never knew anything about it , wait let me ask manyta about that

She calls a servant stationed outside her office and tells her to call manyta

U: I guess I should leave now

Mr: no uday, you should stay here. I want to get to the bottom of this today

Manyta entered and smiled at uday, she hoped he understood what happened last night was not her mistake

Mr: what is the meaning of this headlines manyta? Were you in a relation with arvind

Manyta took the news paper in a shock, this could not be happening

M: ds, I am innocent it was arvind who tried to kiss me , I tried to shove him away

U:It was not so when I saw it

A servant interrupted them saying that their lawyer has come to visit mrinalini devi

Mr: excuse me kids, looking at manyta you have a lot to explain manyta

Manyta looked at uday, the initial shock replaced by rage

M: how could you stoop so low uday, how could you?

U: oh princess, does it look like am kissing arvind, your talk makes me feel that way

M: you leaked those photos to the press

U: what !!! am I mad!! Why should I do it?

M: so that you don't need to marry me

U: are you so nave manyta, what about the document we signed last night before the engagement, was n't it the legal papers of our marriage . I am not a fool to dig my own grave

M: I am sure you did this to humiliate me, you told me last night you would take revenge on me and what a beautiful way to take your revenge? How cheap

U: look manyta, I seriously don't want to marry you, but I am forced so are you. Lets get this straight, for the sake of my family am I marrying you, I have no option. But I can be sure we would be 2 individuals under the same roof

M: as if I want to have any other relation with a cheat like you

U: iam not begging to get married to a characterless girl like you either

Uday and manyta did not even speak after that incident. The news was killed by both the families. It was not a proud story for either of the families.

Manyta told the 2 families what had actually happened and the 2 families believed her. Everyone except udayveer. Sexual harrasement charges were slapped on arvind and everyone forgot of the news

The day of manveer marriage arrived. It was grand event, however just only those who were near and dear were invited. There would be a reception for the public soon.

The ceremonies took place on time, everybody around them were happy except for the bride and the groom, neither did uday or manyta smile, as uday tied the mangalsutra and applied kumkum on her forehead, it was like a film shooting, they were just actors playing a predesigned role, no emotions attached, their marriage was a drama for them, a drama played for the sake of the audience. Even when they went around the sacred fire seven times nothing but hatred remained. They did not peep too look at each other, or did they share any romantic eyelock

This was going to be one hell of a marriage. A drama marriage

Chapter 21.3 SUHAG RAAT BLUES

Uday tried to delay himself from going to his room, it was his "first night". He was stuck for the rest of his life with her, how could one's bad luck get even worse than this?? Avantika found him talking to some guests and excused them from the company uday was talking to.

A: what are you doing here uday? You should be in your room with your wife now. We can look after the remaining guests

U: but ma, i…

A: na, now don't say anything, go to your room now

Saying that she took him to his room, unnathi was waiting outside for him.

Un: dada, not so fast, first pay me if you want to see your wife

U: I don't want to see my wife, so I am not paying, I would be delighted to go away from here

Avantika who was hearing this conversation, caught uday's ears

A:its not a laughing matter uday, here hand this to unnathi, she handed a bundle of money to uday and let she have her fun too

Un: yes, ma, tell dada that, it's not every day my dada gets married

She took bundle in her hands and told uday

Un: go dada, go enjoy your night with bhabhi

Uday was about to say something when he saw the look on his mother's face, he stopped himself seeing the expression

U: fine, I am going in.

A: beta, just one more thing, now you are a husband. Never let your wife down. Manyta is a good girl, you are bonded with the sacred vows of marriage, you should make your marriage work, forget all the difference between you and manyata.

U: I will try ma, but…

A: no if's and but's , promise me

Uday took his mother's hand in his and said: ok, I promise

A: god be with you beta, she blessed uday and went away.

Time to enter "my personnel hell" thought uday as he opened the door of his room.

Manyta was waiting for uday. Her mind was still disturbed. This uday she had married was not the udayveer she had worshipped in her mind as a kid, he was an angel, they had adored each other, loved each other, but now both of them just LOVE TO HATE EACH OTHER.

She thought they both had agreed to forgive their differences and start a new life together, but uday!! He humiliated her in front of the world, she was sure it was uday who took that photo and leaked to the media. She hated his guts

This was not how she had picturised her marriage, it was totally romantic. Her husband would take her in his hands, kiss her lightly, the strange feeling deep down her belly , romantic candles and soft melodious music .

Now why was she waiting here like a dummy, she should get out of this heavy bridal dress and ornaments which was so heavy. As she stated to get up, she heard the door open. Uday entered and closed the door, she just sat there, her face covered with her shawl

U: whoa, are you waiting for your husband to come lovingly and lift your goonghat ?? god!! Which dream world are you living?

M: eh? U think I was waiting for you, I was about to change when you came

U: suit yourself

Manyta got up and went and sat in front of the mirror, she started taking her ornaments , there were so many, she tried to take a chain but could not, she looked around and saw uday on his laptop

M: um, uday could you help me to take these chains, it is a bit difficult to undo all the hooks

Uday looked at her and saw her in that condition "there is no harm in helping, is it?" he thought

He went and stood behind her, oh god!! There were so much of chains and hooks, its going to be a terrible task

It was when he spotted her milky white back, the top was just held by 3 -4 stings tied together in the behind, it was such a gorgeous sight gorgeous sight?? He is gone mad to think that

He started to take the chains one by one and his hands brushed gently on her skin, it felt good, though manyta, what good?? He is your enemy

There was a chain which he could not open with his hands and so he bend down to open it with his teeth, his breath touched her neck.oh!!! my what is happening?

When the skin behind her neck touched his lips uday felt totally losing his control

"I think I could do it from now" said a flushed manyta, she wanted him to stop before…

"ok, help your self " said uday not meeting her eyes. It was best if he stayed away from here

Manyta returned after changing into a nighty and uday had already changed in a t shirt and pygamas and was reading a book

M: I want to sleep

U: sleep , who is asking you not to sleep

M: you better off the light

U: I want to read, I will switch off after that.

M: fine!!! Go to hell

U: I am already over there. Otherwise will I ever get married to you???

M: you are a stupid *********

U: what a language !!!! not the one you would expect to hear from a princess!!!

M: you are just a lucky fellow, if it was not for me you would be still living in some old shack

U: oh!! You forgot to add one more thing, doing slave labour for a hot heated b****

U: um lara, was one better dog than you, she was atleast faithful to me

U: oh, you know. Are you happy that your boyfriend is now in jail, or are you missing him

M: uday, I said stop, it was never like what you thought, I am not that sort of agirl

Both of them were fuming at each other, and both said together "fine am going to sleep"

They looked at each other for a second and turned and slept , their backs facing each other, both at the furthest corner of the bed, away from their enemy
