I think i have an answer for this!!! 😆 😆 😆 Sid and Akshay are childhood friends, but they lost touch after the college. That is waht was told when Sid and Akshay met after so many years in a restaurant.. (That was in the introductory episode of Sid) Now, we also know that Masu has not been with the family for long. There have been dialogues that Masu has laways been away from family, wanted to lead her own life, be independent bla bla..

So i think we can give the script writers little bit of credit as this could be taken as a proper reasoning.. 😆
