err.. excuse me? it has been confirmed by shreya creations? do you work there or what? ajay claimed in his interview that the trps reached close to 2 after he came, but i have not seen any proof of it. the productions house might not have said anything as it was free publicity. and as far as i have seen, there was also no news or proof that masooma & sid's jodi made the serial reach it's peak.
the ratings may have increased with sid's entry. that is only because he was a fresh face then, of cos, people would want to see a new entry. and if u are so confident ajay raised the trps, the show should have been the top 20 since day one of sid's entry. but as far as i can, the highest trp of mamta has been position no. 14. and only becos of the Antakshari episode and how much screen time did sid have in that episode? 5 minutes?
the serial relies not only on one person. it needs akshay, mamta & tanisha as much as it needs sid. if sid was the only one 'acting' in this serial, it should be a documentary not a serial. a serial always succeeds on a team effort.
if you give credit to sid, akshay deserves much more. the trps may not have been high when akshay was in the serial, but when it comes to looks & most importantly acting, akshay clearly has the upper hand. if sid has loads of new fans, akshay surely has his share of loyal supporters so don't try to walk over them by issuing a certificate that sid is taking the cake or the cream. i think akshay takes the cake, cream, cherry & even the box for being the better actor.
