The social message and emphasis on the importance of education are in the past. If they really were serious about emphasising education, Anandi would be going for an MLA or something right now and not spending all her time worrying about her silly nanad. The way they have shown things, education (for women, at least) is only important until you find a good husband to complete you and then can settle comfortably into the role of a homemaker and cease to worry about the world outside of your family. You also have to be careful not to get too educated, otherwise your personal life will suffer (like in Gauri's case). So, yeah, I'm not really buying the concept that they are sending positive messages about education. With regards to the general social message, it was good while it lasted. I was watching really old episodes yesterday and it really was a brilliant show. But unfortunately it no longer is. I mean, full credit to the CVs... 5 years is a long runtime, and they did maintain consistency for quite a long time... but if they are running out of inspiration (which it seems they now are), they'd do better to quit while they're ahead (or rather before they get too behind 😆)
