Karisma Kapoor were offered the role of Tina Malhotra.

- During a bike riding sequence in one song,
Kajol lost control of the bike and cut her knee quite badly. You can just see her losing control before the camera cuts out the shot.
Kajol hit the ground hard and actually lost consciousness for several minutes.

- During Neelam Show, the scene just before Shah Rukh Khan speaks, there is a scene in which a guy pleads her girl friend to leave him because he has found a new girl. The guy's role was played by none other than Nikhil Advani who directed Shah Rukh Khan in 'Kal Ho Na Ho' and the new girl was Farah Khan who directed Shah Rukh Khan in 'Main Hoon Naa' and 'Om Shanti Om'.
- The title song is often referred to as "Tum Paas Aaye", because the song begins with this line. It translates as "You Came Near Me".
- "Ladki Badi Anjaani Hai" has a violin sample from "Rangeela Re". "Rangeela Re" was heard in the film "Prem Pujari" (1969).
- WHen Karan was left with no other option but to cast Rani,as all the other heroines rejectd playing a supporting role,he asked rani to loose 10 kgs in 3 months n then strt shooting.. but as a shock...Rani came to sets after three months with 5 kgs more put on...Karan was with no ther option but yet to caste her...n rest is history...rani became a super star and all directors fav post kkhh
- Karan Johar wanted Javed Akhtar to write the lyrics of this film but Javed Akhtar refused the offer after hearing the title of the movie.
- The title Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was suggested by Jugal Hansraj.
