Akhand Path is non-recital of a prayer .........

for example Akhand Hanuman Chalisa Path is reading Hanuman Chalisa continuously for 108 times........

similarly it can be done by reading Ramayan continuosly ... which is called Akhand Ramayan Path........

u also have prayer called Akhand Japa of Om Nama Shivaya... mainly done on Maha Shivrathri........

so Akhand path means non-stop recital of a prayer (hindu/sikh) for specified number of times or for specified time.......

as far as shaving the head is concerned ..... i donno y they showed it in this particular puja.......

shaving head is a south indian tradition ....mainly people offer their hair to Lord Balaji in Tirupathi , when their wishes r fulfilled.......... I have no clue about North Indian shaving off their head......

hope i am clear..... just wanted to share these points.....

Hindus and Punjabs are very similar to each other in alot of things. Like the food, religion and prayers.

Hey Princess
Didn't watch the episode but as a Sikh I can say that the Sikh Akhand Path is the recital of the entire Gurubani (the complete Holy Book) non stop spread over a period of three days. The Paath can be done for any reason - to celebrate a marriage, birth etc. But I've never heard of it being done to wash sins from touching a woman, particularly your wife 😕 Totally bizzare. The other thing is that in any Sikh paath the head must be covered at all times, no matter what the state of your hair 😆 You don't have to have long hair but yes in the Sikh religion there is no reason to shave hair before the paath...that's just never done!
But hey, maybe in Kektaaliand, anything goes... 😕 😉
cheers

Yep, you surely cleared up some of the confusion, so Ranveer did the Hanuman Akhand Path.
But that still leaves the question of shaving his hair - is that religiously justified or is it just an other carelessness from Ekta?

yeah, I remember that. I think my brother had his head shaved as a kid.
