Does Ekta Even Know this????

Hi All!

Ok, so Ranveer wanted to have Akhand Path (Sikh Prayer) because he touched Rashi, his wife. I don't know if there is even a Path in Guru Granth Sahib for this. No where does it say in Guru Granth Sahib that a man cannot touch his wife or be married. Where is Ekta getting all this from?

Also, Sikh's aren't allowed to even allowed to cut their hair, let alone shaving it. Ranveer is having a Path and he shaved his head? Now this is too much. Ekta is making fun of this stuff. I am so pissed off.

Are there any Sikh's/Punjabi around? Am I missing something here?

No you arent missing anything ( I am Sikh), but they are a Hindu Punjabi family. I will look into this and let you know!

Ok so that was quick. Akhand Path is just a non-stop recital of prayers. Yes Sikhs do Akhand Path of the Guru Granth Sahib, but in this case they are not doing it for the Sikh prayers. I think they just used it as a general term.

Any thoughts?

I think it was a Hanuman akhand path...which is done by devotees of L Hanuman...not the guru granth sahib one.

Yes... I am a hindu punjabi...Basically our roots are in Punjab but we follow hinduism....

Yes you have got it right.

Yes, actually there is such a thing as Hindu Punjabis. All Punjabis are not Sikh. I have known Arya Samji Punjabis as well.

What I am baffled by why he shaved his head for an akhand path (have yet to see the episode)

People do path for there own reasons and sikhs meant to do seva is crucial part of the religion..does not matter whatever reason it is for his is a silly reason but he took the vow of celibacy to god so has his own reasons

Not every sikh keeps the hair i too have cut my hair because i am not amrit sakhi which means you take the vow to follow the 5ks one of which is not cutting your hair
