Okay guys !!

What is is name (Raziyas husband, Humeiras father,Shireens brother... you know who I mean) ?

Gaffur or Mahmudjan ?

And why he let Raziya kill Zoyas mother ? He was her husband ! And (I think) he loves Zoya !!

His name is Gaffur Siddiqui and Ayaan-Nikha-Nuzat calls him Mamujaan (which means uncle)..

Its not clear why he let RAzia killed Zoya's mom.. I think Razia killed her first then told him about it.. And then he did not want to get humiliated in society that his wife is murderer he kept it as secret..

His name is Ghaffur Siddiqui. Maamujaan is just a term of respect to refer to your uncle (mom's brother, to be precise).

As for Zoya's mom, he didn't kill her. Not that I'm defending him. Razia killed her because Ghaffur was having an affair with her. It was a crime of passion.

what I dont understand is why they showed him having an affair and a love child.this is extremely unusual in muslims as a man can have more than wife without divorcing the first. So why would he let his child face the stigma of illegitimacy esp when they love them so much. it is more acceptable to have 2 families (2 wives - and 2 sets of children ) rather than have a wife and a mistress with whom there is a long term relationship as well as illegitimate children.
