The paparazzi was blocked outside the Raizada Mansion. This was indeed one of the greatest marriages in the history of grand marriages.
The Mansion was filled with all sorts of guests from relieved men, jeolous women, curious aunties to happy children.
Finally, the country's most eligible bachelor would be taken by one lucky girl, the bride.
However, the bride descending from the stairs didn't look like the one who was getting married to the most wanted bachelor in the country. She had a smile plastered on her face but if someone looked carefully then they would see that the smile didn't reach her eyes at all. They were dull and lifeless. How could she be happy when her dreams were shattered and her hopes for the future were killed so brutally.

Flashback
It was the morning of her wedding. Khushi was standing in the guest house of the Raizada Mansion, getting ready for her wedding. Though this marriage was an arranged marriage and Khushi wasn't exactly told a lot about why this marriage was happening and how SHE, who was from a middle class family gotten a proposal from The Arnav Singh Raizada's family when he could have gotten any girl, precisely a top model. Another weird fact was that the groom himself had hardly attended any functions himself but the Guptas were presented with a truck loaded of excuses each time.
Anyway, brushing those thoughts aside Khushi looked at the dark red embroided lehenga sitting elegantly on the bed. That gave her hopes for the future. A future with a husband and from what she had observed, a very caring family. She couldn't ask for more.
Khushi carefully sat beside her bridal set whenrealisedthat thejewelrywas missing.
Khushi got up from the bed, unsure on who to ask for help and then decided that it would be the best to ask Anjaliji, Arnav's sister.
Carefully remembering the way around the house, Khushi got up and headed towards the door of the guest room and out to find Anjali's room.
After a little struggle, Khushi finally found Anjali's room and as she was about to knock on the door, the voices she could hear made her freeze.
"Maybe, chotey might never accept Khushiji as his wife, he doesn't believe in marriage anyway" came a worried voice.
"We should still wait and see. We just need to hide the fact that this marriage was a compromise from Khushi betiya" Came another voice.
"Dad had made a deal with Khushiji's biological dad to get Chotey and Khushiji married in return of some money to start off the business when they were young before he passed away. Khushiji's biological dad, Singhania uncle had cancer at that time and he had to find a secure family for his daughter. So, now we have had gotten them married because of the contract papers but chotey doesn't seem happy with this marriage and I had to persuade him so much so he could agree, now I just hope that he accepts Khushiji" came the first voice again.
Khushi was rooted to her spot. Her dreams and hopes were completely shattered. She was being used to fulfill a deal. So, this marriage wasn't just a random proposal but a DEAL made by her biological dad who she unfortunately didn't even remember AND what did they just say? Arnavji might not accept her and is not happy with the marriage. Everything was now falling in place, why Arnav never showed up for the rituals? Why she was getting married to HIM?
Khushi didn't know where her feet were carrying her to but she only knew that her life had nothing for her anymore. Her chance at happiness now looked like a dead end.
Khushi felt unwanted. Though she understood that her dad had wanted her good but he didn't have to make a deal for that.
Preparing herself for the disaster that waited for her, she robotically started decking up for her means-nothing-wedding.
After her parents had been snatched from her very cruelly, Khushi was lonely and devastated but then the Guptas adopted her, however, Shashi Gupta, Khushi's father had also died few years after adopting her, all the rays of hope had died with him. Garima, Payal and Khushi were the three who tried surviving in a city like Delhi where it was hard for only women to survive alone and her hopes were killed everyday by one person or another and now this comprised wedding had again killed her hope to an extent where Khushi was scared to hope anymore.
